I have inherited that trait from my parents where I love cars. My Father helped Robert Squarciafichi organise the original Cap Estel hotel, which made my parents visit the area extensively between ca. 1954 and 1960. My Mother introduced us to it in the early 1970s, then I remember being there regularly from 1973 to 1978. Less than ten years later my destiny and work made me remain in America from 1985 till 2011. I am sorry to say, I have never imagined that part of Europe could turn this vulgar,... and could not fathom it would, degrade to what it reflects nowadays. Where are all the fine people one would enjoy then, with whom one would travel with to Portofino, Lake Como, Positano, Cinque Terre, Capri, Sorrento... It hurts to see new money's greed ruin the culture, elegance and savoir vivre that one energized those places...
