Hi I’m looking into getting my CDL I’ve done a lot of research and I’ve been trying to decide to go OTR or straight into food service preferably Mclane. I plan to make this a career so I was wondering if you had a say in which way to start it off?
Great content, My Dude!! I used to work for NDCP in Westampton, NJ , then transferred to Florida (Orlando-Tampa). I’m driving for Walmart now, been here for almost 10 years and I love it!!
Outstanding content and the thorough breakdown on this company Brother! Thank you ! Thank you for all that you do for us truck drivers out here. I have applied for the driving position and will keep you posted. Be safe and be well. Also, I will be purchasing some gear from your Etsy store as well. Drive safe 🚛😎💪🏾
I currently work for them out of Phoenix. $33.48 an hour over here. As of April 19th 2023 I'm at 42.5k for the year so far. I average between 55 to 60 hours a week. I've had a couple 65+ hour weeks. Can't really complain the money and the benefits at not bad at all.
$35.48 per hour in Bellingham-Massachusetts. In February ill be 1 year with PFG and then im applying for NDCP(Dunkin Donuts)...matter of fact im starting the application process in January. Anthony you are a big help to the trucking community with all the information you provide, thank you and stay strong 💪.
Yes sir national dcp is what they call the warehouse had a interview with them 3 years ago seemed like a great company but I ended up going to GORDON FOODS SERVICE they called me back 1st.
I read a story recently of a driver who took a year off after running up 1½ years of our experience. Now he has to get an expensive refresher course or go get experience with a low tier company. What's your opinion on this?
Work for Dunkin' Donuts but do not work for the one in Grooveland in Florida. The management really sucks and they way they load the trucks is horrible. There was a manager named RICK DUBIUN who use to lie about everything and always picked his favors drivers. He use to cut hours on drivers and the worst they find ways to get driver FIRED if they wanted to. 4 drivers were fired with no reason.
Not necessarily because they know the average person will focus more on the big number lol. Just seeing “up to 100k” looks better than “starting from 60k” if that makes sense.
Great video, I have a question. I’m currently in truck school about to graduate next week. Do you recommend I start applying to food service companies in advance or wait until I get my cdl next week? 22 trying to get to this bread!!
@@kyglowen4185 You can easily make 1600 a week in around 45 hrs. The problem arises when companies make it mandatory to work 55+ hours a week. At that point I'd rather be OTR and make double the money

I work there going on 7 years. You work like an animal. All the 5 burrows of NY. If you dont like to work hard dont bother. When I was hired you needed 2 years experience. It changed to 6 months because they have a hugh turn over.
what about papa johns do the drivers work for them you never did one on that i see the trailors but the drivers dont look like they are with papa johns
@@jaemecha on my third week there, the work is hard. pay is great. trucks and trailers are decent, the tractors are governed at 65. they have cameras in cab and out front. they just road tested some 30 drivers at their job fair this week. so i should get some seniority fast. lol
No, I think being salaried doing food service is putting a cap on your earning potential. Not only that but with the amount of work involved it just makes sense getting paid based on your performance. Whether that be component pay or hourly plus incentives. I wouldn’t want to be delivering 900+ cases a day knowing I’m salaried & potentially working 12-13hrs a day. So if I had to choose between the two it would be hourly but component is better than both in my opinion.
I currently work for Saia LTL Freight as a P&D driver based in Southeastern Massachusetts. At Saia, we receive time and a half for any hours worked beyond 45 hours.

OTR would not be an option for me personally so McLane would be my choice. However, everybody’s situation is different.

Wouldn't the marketing for an ad be better if the company said "starting from" instead of "up to"? Up to sounds like they already capping your pay.
