@@Lifeishibs I also used to have dry hair like that so here is what you can do: 1. Instead of washing your hair 2 a week, put a deep condition or mask in your hair one of those days. It can be store bought or homemade. I personally recommend avocado. Leave it in your hair for 15 to 30 minutes and wash it out 2. Lay off the heat tools. If you do use heat minimum once every two to three months and use heat protectant. 3. Don’t be afraid to trim you hair just a bit. You can search up your hair type and then search up a tutorial on RUclips since you obviously have access to it. Make sure not to over trim you hair, just the really dead ends. 4. Be careful of the products you buy and if they have alcohol in them, it will dry your hair out even more. 5. If none of these work you can try to grow your roots faster with scalp treatments and then once hair is desired length you can chop of the dry hair. Hope this helped!

OKAY SO... everyone is like "I want volume!" or "I need volume!!". But for me, on the right side on my head, the volume is INSANE! WASH IN COOL WATER I can't stress this enough, you gotta welcome icy showers, or like at least icy when it comes to your scalp; use conditioner before shampoo; only wash the roots; DON'T brush with a brush with, idk how to say it, a lot of the bristle?? like use a comb or those designed for curly hair yk what i mean; DON'T istg don't use hair dryer, but also don't go to sleep with your hair wet; u can use oil for the ends, but be careful, because the more products you will use, the more you gonna weight out your hair therefore the less straight it's gonna go; last but not least DON'T scrunch it IF you don't want curls
Idk if you're like me necessarily but your hair texture sounds like mine. I had to get layers to spread out the volume properly and not end up with the dreaded triangle silhouette that frizzy ends gives you
I don’t know my exact hair type but mine is somewhere around there as well. I use function of beauty shampoo and conditioner for curly hair with the anti-frizz add on. I shampoo and condition my hair, then I brush it before I rinse the conditioner out. I let it air dry. To style it I first spray it with a mixture of lavender essential oil and water. Then I put a bit of gel in it and scrunch. Also I use a silk pillow case :) this is just what works for me
The funniest thing is the anserf is vegan squalene, what majes up sebum. Or about a tablespoon each of squalene or jaboba oil, olive oil, & coconut oil - the stuff in squalene. For the latter you have to wash it out after a few hours or day
My hairs reach down to my upper or even middle thigh, can’t be sure but I think it’s genetics cause my mom have hairs that reach upto her butt (idk how to put this)
Yep me and my younger sis do everything the same. Hers is thicker but hardly grows. Mine is thinner but grows a lot. Its all genetics since by the time it comes out it's already dead cells so anything u put on the hair won't do anything
The water temp thing only works up to a point. Using straight cold water to close the hair shaft isn't really doing anything. Don't use super hot water on the hair. (It's also bad for the scalp) and you should be fine. Also diffusing hair or having the heat a few feet away from the hair and evenly dispersed causes little damage to the hair. About the same as sitting in the sun to have hair dry.
Yes, but I am worried because even though I use heat protection I use a hair straightener every day of the week on my bangs, so I’m scared it could damage them…either way, I get trims very often to I hope it stays healthy

Stop cutting it! Well, don't stop but buy yourself a pair of good hair scissors, and do a search and destroy of your split ends, and then a teensy trim (like a quarter inch) every three months max. Do not cut your hair more than this. It's a myth in a way that you need to cut your hair for it to grow, if your hair is healthy and not split, do not cut it. 0:51 NOOOOO I have very thick curly hair, and so does my sister, and all our lives we brushed our hair when it was wet and let me tell you, it hurt and we lost more hair than usual.
Depends on how easily your hair uses up its water. I have frizzy afro type hair and when it was wet was the best time for combing because otherwise it was less than manageable.
Nobody should be brushing hair while wet, you'll break the hair shaft. Curly hair needs to be brushed while damp, not dripping wet. Straight hair should be brushed after hair has dried.
idk what type my hair is because its straight for the most part but sometimes it has a few curls when it air dries its quite thin too cant be 1a cuz its not fully straight and can hold a curl cant be 1b or 1c because its thin ??
You may be 2a, then. Edit: You can also have multiple hair types. You may actually be '1' at the roots, but '2' down towards your ends. It just means that your hair follicle is slightly different to the standard "straight" shape. Get a single strand of hair to see. If there is a wave pattern in it when dry, then you'll be '2 - wavy hair'. To check the thickness of your hair, measure it to a piece of string. If it's less thick, it's 'a', about the same size, 'b', and if it's thicker, 'c'. You can also test the porosity of your hair (ability to "suck up" moisture/products). To do this, lay a single strand of hair into a body of water. If it floats, your hair is low porosity, and can't suck up moisture properly. Put your product in when your hair is wet. If your hair sinks, it's high porosity, and can easily suck up moisture and product. Best to put your product in when your hair is dry, as to not oversaturate your hair and cause product build up.
I'm in between too! My hair depends on humidity tbh. If I let it dry inside it becomes 2a, but after a couple hours it goes to 1b because it can't hold the waves. But if I dry it outside, it automatically goes to a 1a. So I just define it as 1b as that's how it looks most of the time.

Nobody should be brushing hair while wet, you'll break the hair shaft. Curly hair needs to be brushed while damp, not dripping wet. Straight hair should be brushed after hair has dried.
How to make my hair frizzy I would love that
4:08, so ur saying colder and more freezing I am when washing my hair, the better it is for my hair, yeah I’m just gonna take that risk 😂
idk what type my hair is because its straight for the most part but sometimes it has a few curls when it air dries
its quite thin too
cant be 1a cuz its not fully straight and can hold a curl
cant be 1b or 1c because its thin
??
What I learn from this video : my hair is trash 🤣✨😀
Me: Never uses hot tools.
Hair: I still won’t grow.

0:39 meh I use hot tool every other day and I have longer hair than the girl in the video. I think use of heat is more related to damage not growth.

"NEVER BRUSH YOUR HAIR WHEN ITS WET"
Curly girls have left chat (jokes)
She literally said that it doesn't apply for curly hair and that it's the opposite right afterwards😭
Lol I have a curly hair and I brush it even when its wet since my hair will be much more easier to comb and well my hair looks great
Oh welp- I've got straight hair and I've been brushing my hair in the shower for *years* ...
