Yo seeing y'all play Smash bros is awesome, I'd love to see more. By the way you can play with GameCube controllers if you get the right adapter so you dont have to play with baby controllers

@@comandercoconut4921 nintendo and also 3rd party gamecube adapters. And you can connect any kind of gamecube controller with it.
Yeah it plugs into usb ports on the switch and gives 4 GC controller slots. Just look up "Gamecube controller adapter" online or borrow one from a friend

@@fanaticpharaoh I mean, you don't need a gamecube controller. There's always those third party controllers and a pro controller. I just use a gc controller because I grew playing smash with gc only. I sometimes use pro controller. Feels good too

I want to see this happen again but with actual controllers instead of single joycons. All you guys need is a second set of joycons or a pro controller but you should have 2 of whatever that way no one can call unfair based off controller.
Also unlock all the characters.

You guys are gonna get shit on for not doing tourney rules, and not having all the characters, and not using GC controllers, but I love this! This is what me and my friends do all the time, and this is just like the classic LAN party!

@@josemiguelcaballerorestrep2101 *Guy randomly falls off and dies from it while opponent is confused, victim ends up losing because the game sais he comuted suicide* Yes, stage hazard is perfectly fair and balanced.
Stage hazzards and items can be fun for a few minute but if you make a tourney or a championship, even with just a few friends, you want to keep the RNG away if you're looking to know who's more skilled, Time also allow you to just run away when you have the adventage, watching cowards isn't entertaining, stocks, you have to kill to win, making running away only viable to try and come back wirh a surprise attack, you can run away when there's 15secs on the clock all safe, you can't run forever tho.

It was so fun and awesome to see you guy's do a smash tournament because if I watched some random people battle it out it's enjoyable but it's a million times better watching a game with people I know a lot more and it's just more enjoyable so it would be awesome if you guy's did this again.
I know Cliff worked on the song, but it was so surreal see him on stage at the Game Awards!
Do another tournament with brackets! With as many people of the Node crew as possible! :D

I wanna see more Smash, just gonba say four things.
1: Use the built in tournament mode and bring everyone, most people you can.
2: Buy gamecube controllers and ganecube addapter, add custom player name tags, turn off auto jumps for all these names settings.
3: Use better rules, the rules you used are kinda stupid.
4: Get most people to train a bit and find what character they use the best.
In the next Smash video I'd like to see...
1. All characters unlocked. (this might already be the case and this video was just recorded near release)
2. Proper controllers. Pro or gamecube is what all the cool kids are using.
3. 1 pro player if you can get one. It would cool to see how differently new players play the game compared to someone who has trained for years. He could also teach people some tricks. Maybe have him coach Wren. It would be interesting to see if that coaching is enough to make Wren king.
The fact that you guys are playing with those joy cons is a crime. Final Destination, Clint is clearly the only person in that room that is a true smash competitor.
They play for fun. No need to be all serious and boring with FD and no items.

Bigger tourney, 3 stock, no items. Maybe even a 2v2 format to stop the dead air and get banter/smack talk. Could maybe cut some silly intros like PUBG airsoft (introduction to the team dressed in a theme or something). I'd love to see more!

Great content as always! This is the kind of stuff I subscribed to Node for. I'd love to see more Smash videos, especially if you can get 4 controllers. I'd personally like to see more matches in Final Destination though. It always feels bad to see somebody lose from environmental gimmicks.

Because pro controllers cost a fortune!
Alec Mackintosh GC controllers are pretty cheap and I think the adapter’s like $20
They could always just not care that much and not mind using the joycons, that's also a possibility
While these guys could destroy me in first person shooter games it brings me joy knowing I can confidently crush all of them in Smash.

I super enjoy watching not-super good people play Smash. This comment will sound really sarcastic but I'm not. The absolute joy from seeing people play such a wacky game really is refreshing. I mean, I understand the appeal of pro-level gaming with only certain stages and no items but watching some friends just chill and play smash and get surprised by exploding whatevers is also very nice and good.
I was gonna comment on the quality of their gameplay, but then I saw the poor guys had to play with the tiny controller so they are forgiven.

You guys should do a massive tournament so that every map is played once, make it a series. Bring in friends and maybe some fans for extra players

Yikes, Brandon did NOT know how to play Falco. I guess first using him might be a bit difficult because of how fast he goes and his insane jump height, but once you get good with him, you can sprint across the stage and take out someone before they have a chance to recover. Also Green Hill Zone is probably a bad stage for him (I've never fought on it before).
