A Tribute to Mollie Steenson

- Dear 3ABN Family,
It is with great sadness that we announce that our former Vice President and General Manager, Mollie Steenson, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.
Ever the gracious and dignified lady, Mollie was full of wisdom, integrity, loyalty, and fairness. She was a powerful example of what it is like to live for Jesus. Her life was dedicated in every way to proclaiming the gospel to the world, and she served on 3ABN’s board of directors until her last day.
Mollie is survived by her husband, Pastor Hal Steenson, her daughter, Deedee and husband Roger Moore, and son Jeremy Steenson, along with her grandchildren, Max, Savannah, and Dillon.
We look forward to that glorious day when the righteous will arise and be caught up in the clouds of glory with our Savior, Jesus Christ. And until then, may the words of Revelation 14:13 bring comfort and peace to all who mourn: “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord … that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
Mollie has done her best in the race, she ran the full distance and has kept the faith.When christ comes back we will see her again.

Molly reminded me of my sweet sister in law, Lyda. She always exhumed meekness and kindness. yet she also was passionate when she talked about the Lord. I am so sorry to hear of her passing! I lost my sister Lyda a few years ago and miss her kind heart. May the Lord give comfort to her family at 3ABN and to her husband.

I'm from the Philippines and I knew Ms Mollie Steenson only through 3ABN Sabbath School Panel. I was really impressed how she explain every lesson. In Isaiah 51:1 - The righteous sleep because God don't want her to see the evil days to come. Praise the Lord she slept in the love of God. A sleep that even dreams cannot disturb.
Oh no....I've been thinking about Molly these past few weeks. I have been wondering how she was doing and how I missed her from the Sabbath School discussion. I feel like I've lost a family member. It's so comforting to know that we have hope during a devastating loss like this. I'm praying for her family and friends. Thank the Lord that we have the hope of the resurrection to look forward too.
I am sitting here bawling my eyes out, haven’t even turned on the volume. I know she was struggling with cancer for a long time however she handled it with grace. What a godly example she was. I am so sad but she will see Jesus at the coming.

What sad news! She was such a beautiful lady. I knew she had cancer but it's still hard to fathom she is now gone. Wow... this came at a sad time when 3 of my friends lost close loved ones (a daughter, a brother, and a father). So many seem to be laid to rest lately; it must be very near the end. Sending up prayers for Mollie's family.
So sorry to hear such sad news. May God comfort the 3 ABN family. She rests and soon we will meet her when our Savior comes.

Sorry, my heart goes out to the family of 3ABN and Mollies family. Thank God for the blessed hope of his soon return. We'll meet again, may her soul rest in peace until we meet again around the great white throne of God. No matter what, we can never get use to death.

Oh wow! What a sad thing to hear. We were never created to die and yes I can just hear her voice in lesson reviews. She has fixed her mind on another time. We can be happy and rejoice because we know death is not death but sleep when you die in Christ. Condolences to the 3ABN family. 🙏🙏

So sorry to hear about ms.Mollie.Always enjoyed her time on the Sabbath school panel, she brought a little humor to the lessons, which made it more enjoyable. The good news is we all will see her again.

Instead of being saddened we should consider how fortunate she is... her next conscious thought will be at the soon coming resurrection when the Lord calls her forth from the grave and she casts her eyes upward to see the Lord coming on the clouds of glory.🙏💗😁

sending our condolences; it was also while working as a minister for 3abn's pastoral department that my retired sda minister father passed away, so i also know what it's like to lose someone while working for that ministry;

We have lost many brothers in a short time. Christ is very close to returning. She will see many fruits when Christ returns, I am one of them. I am returning to the Church, thank God Because of her work too.

I so loved Mollie Steenson. I really did. I never met her personally but I related to her mentally as though I had.
I just so enjoyed listening to her presentations whenever I could on 3ABN. I enjoyed watching her: she carried herself with such dignity and grace.
I know that she will surely be missed but I am confident, we will meet again in that great "getting up morning" and then I will be able, by the grace of God to be one of her companions in eternity.
She was such a beautiful person Inside and out..I love her and Howell...she was missed when she retired from 3abn...and will be missed even more now...We love you Molly🕊💞🙏
Wow, She then still gave us a smile , encouragement and hope from the Bible while battling this hateful cancer which took my mother's life when i was just 8.
But she is having now a sound sleep and what a joyful day it will be on that glorious day when we all meet her !

She was a source of inspiration for me on 3ABN Sabbath School Panel. She is only sleeping and will rise up in the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection on such the second death has no power. Rev: 20:6

Mollie will be sadly missed in my life. She was a special lady. I got to meet her at 3abn when I was able to come to camp meetings. I miss coming so much. Lord, bless her family at this time. And Lord, please comfort all who knew and loved her. May the Lord be praise he has her in his hands...Amen 🙏

Thank you for this beautiful tribute in honor and memory of a beautiful, lovely person who blessed and inspired an untold number by telling the story of Jesus through her powerful life of love and service. I love the hymn “Live Out Thy Life Within Me” (in all things have Thy way!) - it’s quite evident that that’s what Mollie allowed our Savior to do in her life. Praise the Lord for her and may God be so very close to Pastor Steenson and family during this time, as well as with everyone at 3ABN.

I never met my Sister in Christ Jesus Mollie in person as I live in Australia. However, I loved her on the Sabbath School panel. Her ministry gave such guidance. I missed her when she stopped on the panel. I look forward to meeting in heaven on that day of the Lord.

I'm just seeing this. I'm so sad! I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to her at the fall camp meeting 2019. Two Alabama women don't just meet, we talk. She never mentioned her illness, only her husbands. It was the first camp meeting I've attended and drove 700+ miles to get there by myself. My husband is not an Adventist and no one from my church could go with me. She made me feel welcomed. So thankful I had the pleasure of talking with her and knowing we will talk more when Jesus comes and takes us home.

Molly as the rest of you at 3ABN, have practically become a part of my life, an extension to my immediate family and friends. Though I do not know her as you do, nor feel your degree of pain, my heart breaks with yours, and I too look forward to seeing her in the flesh (not on TV🤭) when our saviour comes again!
