Thanks for the update on N2 I’ve always wanted to try CT to DBN. As for driving your car until is empty. I grow up hearing about it I guess it was true all along. 19k for that trip it was worth it. Only people who love road trips could relate. I know people who’d waste that money doing other things that are useless, whereas with your video it will be here even after 10 years and it’s informative.👌🏾 Looking at your fuel consumption, it shows that sports cars do well on the highway than city drive.
Great video. As for the border situation, being Mozambican I must tell you that for us going to either Swazi ir South Africa is also a nightmare. 1st it starts at the border. You can take 5 minutes to cross the Mozambican side and 1 or more hours to clear the SA side. I'm not sure if they are on strike as it makes no sense. You have 10+ boots and only 2 of them are operational when you know you have 1000 people trying to cross. The end of the month is madness!! I have been there for 3 hours!! Then in less than 3 kms you have 2 police stops and all they do is try to extort some money. The SA police will make up crazy things like telling you the wheel locks are illegal. Hell, once they time me my steering wheel did not work. Of course, I told him politely to f off and that no fruit would come out of this tree. Point 2: any moment you go past Malelane, you become a highjack target. Sometimes we do get robbed by people in police cars, police uniforms and police issued machine guns. Trust me, SA is WAY worst than Moz when it comes to crime/police actions. I really wish we could all get along.

Awe Buma!!! Atleast iBhubesi is ok..... As a software dev graduate i must say your content is forever inspiring, I hope I'll get a job within the software dev field and drive my own Bhubesi🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the info, BMW also informed me not to drive to reserve range, it causes too many potential problems, dirty fuel and fuel pump, injectors etc
@@BMTVSA I think driving until 100km range left are a good reflection of fuel use if it was a with a full tank. When I was still working I would fill up as soon after the light came on at about 70km to go (every week, x4 full tanks per month), but on long trips I would fill up with 200km to go (Polo TSi).
Loved the video. I personally love driving long distances, and I still yearn to drive longer distances. When I had got my learners, my mom and I went on a road trip to Vryburg from Polokwane. The car averaged 6.3l/100km over a distance of 706.1km, even with a lot of overtaking. The car we travelled in was a BMW 320i.
firstly, fresh cut is looking fire ! Secondly, very informative video and enjoyable. Thirdly, i am so glad Hyundai is alright ! looking forward to new content especailly the house and home vlogs !! Always quality videos out of you Buma! Thank you !
New hair style you cut your hair very low but you look good 🔥🔥 I never believed the fuel pump story but now i believe it,no wonder why my dad always refill after half tank
I love love love watching your vlogs either alone or with your crew. Cannot wait to see how the new place will look and your cooking segments please. Such a clean man you are 😊😊
Keep the car above a quarter tank driving around, above half if you’re going to be driving hard and throwing around. One of the first things my mechanic told me when i got my car.
Love the content and breakdown. I could relate with the EC N2 road from Durban all the way to CT. Those mountains, funny speed humps and the stop & gos🙆🏽♂️🤦🏾♂️ I liked the part where you drove at night. I am more of a night driver as well on long distance trips. Just can’t take content at night but I like it because if there are no lights, there’s no car. It gives you space to overtake these trucks. So much money you spent on that ~7000km distance. I like how you do the drone shots in between. What is the general or average speed you do when taking the shots? I mean you still cover the time to your next destination. Unless if you do speeds that cannot be disclosed afterwards 😂😂🤣Which would make sense since you gotta cover the time spent on shooting content. 👌🏾👌🏾🔥🔥
Thank you for watching, driving at night on good roads its great. I always account for recording time when I take these trips because recording takes up a lot of time
Awesome roadtrips, my favourite is the one from Cape Town to Namibia, and Cape Town to Nelspruit!... I'm also planning the same trips with Audi Q3 TFSI (2021 model) 🥂💯...
Nice video and cost breakdown. I think the car was good and 8.7km/l are not bad at all, given the road conditions. If you did N1 coming back the figures would look better but N2 hilly and more interesting. Maybe there's a Lesotho trip in the future 👍 (or Botswana).
I have travelles to Those countries and i can attest Mozambique is the worst at the border and the police, language barrier. When they see GP number plate yooooh they go crazy. You will never pass without afemative repossession (Bribe 😂). BM the way you detailed your trips top notch.
Mina the last trip i drove to Cape Town from Johannesburg i decided to take the N12 via klerksdorp to Kimberly -Hopetown till Three sisters where i joined the N1 ,i like that route because it does not have a lot of trucks
On your way to Port Elizabeth, to avoid the roadworks and the rough terrain of the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape between Port Edward and Mthatha, you should in future take the N2 from Port Shepstone to Kokstad then Mthatha. The road is in perfect condition until you get to Kokstad. When you get into the Eastern Cape after Kokstad that's when you'll encounter potholes so be vigilant
Geez well done on the trip clearly it was not child’s play. At least the car broke down when u came back and not on the road trip. But obviously it would’ve been awesome if it didn’t breakdown at all. To be honest when u started this series I was thinking about trying same thing but do it anti clockwise so am from the North so I would do a 9 province kinda trip. But after seeing your cost breakdown and experience this needs proper planning and financing. Thanks for taking the long trips n showing us it’s possible just don’t take chances 🤣🤣🤣
