Would probably need to be nerfed by removing the enhanced guard counters if they did that, but it would still be well worth the talisman slot for such a fun alternative playstyle to always be active
I used the Deflecting Hardtear against most of the DLC, and I can confidently tell you that while you may take some chip damage, you can literally deflect anything in the game as long as you time it right. Including dragon breath and huge explosions.
@@louispoulain1184 No, I am not talking about Elden Ring I don't think there are any falling skyscrapers in it for that to happen. I am talking about Sekiro. The stuff you can deflect in From Software games is always absolutely ridiculous
Some weapons are just so much better when paired with the deflecting tear. I'm currently doing attempts against the final boss of the dlc using cold infused reverse blades and the deflect counter on that thing hits four times in quick succession, meaning a lot of frostbite application
Finally someone doing pvp deflect. I wish they give us a deflect talisman that buff guard boost and physical damage negation for time block but didnt buff guard counter attack like crystal tear.
It does all of those things, though? Deflects reduce incoming Physical damage by 100%, Elemental damage by 75%, and Stamina damage by 65% on top of whatever blocking stats you weapon/shield has. So for example, a +25 Carian Knight Shield would go from having a Magic Negation of 71% to an _effective_ Magic Negation of 92.75% while in terms of Stamina damage Negation, it would go from having a Guard Boost of 60% to an effective Guard Boost of 86% which is pretty good. This Crystal Tear pairs well with things like the Greatshield Talisman, Viridian Amber Medallion +3, or Pearl Shield Talisman since the Guard Counter portion of the buff is hard to land in PvP, but the other benefits it provides are great for builds that want to use something like a Sword and Board strategy.
