My mother used to use left over meat to make rissoles, home made bread that had gone hard to make bread crumbs. We had bubble and squeak for supper from the leftovers, she used bread that was hard for bread pudding.
That's a good idea, thanks for the tip about composting, it's going up in price like everything else. I think I'll start making stewed apple, l love it with custard.
That’s a really good idea to do the vegetables in the slow cooker never thought of doing them that way and the apples next time we are out for a coffee I’m making sure to pick up the little sugars 😁 hope Miss Ivy is doing okay and her hand is better 🌹💕🌹

Looks lovely.I do that too with apples and freeze it.Goes lovely with pork chops….or as u say in yoghurt etc….🩷🌸Ice cube trays are handy for freezing small portions of stock and the like.
