Also, while putting your clippings in the compost is a super idea, it's actually more beneficial/a faster nitrogen cycling process to leave them in the yard. Just a little something I found out recently!
Agreed and I do that with 90% of my clippings. I just collect a small amount around my garden beds, so I don't blow tons of grass into them. That's all. Thanks for the tip though!

Can I ask why you chose to also include non-native plants? There are so many native options to chose from
Great question and the truth is that I used what I had already and in this video purchased the azalea and blue aster. Since this video, I've added golden rod, hibiscus, and baccharis. It's an ongoing project. I've also decreased the size of the lawn some more to add more plants. Have a great day!
