Congratulations!! I definitely relate to the exhaustion of pregnancy with little ones & homeschooling. I didn't do much else with LA until after we had finished AAR2.
I’m using AAR paired with Explode the Code with my four year old. We don’t use any writing, grammar, or spelling programs. Instead of reading some of the words from the fluency sheets from level one of AAR, my son will ask if he can spell them from dictation instead. Since they’re only CVC words at this point I let him and he gets them all right. He’ll also ask me how to spell whatever comes to his mind on occasion and he adds them to his notebook. When he’s ready and interested I’ll have him do copy work for writing and grammar instruction. We love MWC!! It’s the only math we use for both of our kids. My son flew through Preschool Math at Home and MWC K. We just got into the first grade level about two weeks ago. The manipulatives for the kindergarten level are definitely cumbersome, but not the end of the world for us. I do try to streamline them as much as possible though because nobody has time for all that lol.
We also just flew through the Preschool Math at Home. My 3 year old knew a lot more than I was expecting! Now I'm planning on doing TGATB K Math just because it starts out so slow and then in the fall I think we will start MWC K.
We use All About Reading for my 1st and 3rd graders. For my 1st grader we also do Explode the Code and then a couple days a week we do Spelling Connections. I would check that out! For my 3rd grader we do Spelling Connections as well and also added in Fix-It-Grammar.
We also use Math With Confidence with both, and we have with my 3rd grader since preschool. It does seem to move slow early on, but it’s been amazing to see how well my 3rd grader now has such a good understanding of math.
We are doing TGATB Level K and their preschool, and I added Explode the code for my kindergartener and preschooler. I heard 180 Days of Spelling is decent. I haven't tried it, but was looking into when people were saying spelling wasn't the best in TGATB. Congrats on the pregnancy!🎉
MWC K goes deeper than TGTB k math, but MWC starts off assuming the child has never seen a number before. So it starts off very easy. My kid did it at 4. It’s absolutely amazing. 😃
Hmm I'm going to have to look into maybe starting my son on the Kindergarten sooner than I was thinking. I was thinking of maybe doing TGATB this year and then in the fall starting MWC K. Thanks for the help!

Thank you!!! It really is survival mode for a while. 😅
