- A roll of Cinestill 50D film broke in my 35mm Minolta X-700. I thought the exposures were all ruined, but they turned out even better than I could have ever imagined.

I was getting over a cold when I made this video lol.
Your studio and lighting looks nicer than like 99 percent of RUclipsrs dude
Aw thanks
Those are some heavenly pics too
Thank you! I love how they turned out.
Good work setting up the reveal of the photos with the preface of the story of how you busted the roll. Loving the story telling improvements :) Also that wedding we shot in Bend with the sunset was so magical, stoked the photos turned out even more magical.
Thanks Caleb! That means a lot. Been working on getting better at telling a story with my videos. Those photos from the wedding shoot turned out amazing!
Beautiful shots! Love those light leaks
Thanks!
I love these
This gives me hope for my shots, I had the same incident earlier today and I've been so pissed at myself for being hasty. But I will get these developed now and let's hope for the best
Those pics are wonderful!!
Use to shoot 35mm photos all the time back in the day on vacations and for 4-H photography projects. Use to get the film developed at Sam's Club haha. And I'm not that old either--imaging technology has just moved rather quickly in the last 15 years.
There's a beautifully soft tone and subtle warm palette to 35mm film pics. A deep aesthetic profile. When one takes a closer look between modern digital and old school film, you get to notice a world of a difference.
Glad you're enjoying the fun of film :)
Love the light leak effects, where’d you get your film developed?
I got it developed at Focal Point Photography in Dallas Oregon.
@@WestonNey love that shop!
This just happened to me rn 😭
Amazing work, why dont you try adding b rolls.. make story telling even better?
I did include B-roll though.
@@WestonNey Nah mate, its like when you are explaining your story of how your camera gets damaged and other stuff + in 70% of video there is only you, (a talking head)... Which makes people loose interest, doesn't matter how much informative your video is.
But damn, thats some sick lighting
