Deserter Sylvan Cruiser B | FTL Multiverse

A compelling adaptation to the unorthodox gimmick of built-in scaling via hunting your specialized targets. A weapon and drone schematic are randomized between various TRC items, however the main center of attention would be the crew composition and the augmentation utility. Collector Sylvan is a rather powerful crew especially for boarding in the early-mid game, and the refreshing super shield allows you to heavily neglect affording your defensive capabilities for quite some time. The Auto-Hunter Gear is also pretty good, but it's mostly just to get more scrap and equipment rather than actually give you any sort of reliable and relevant combat advantage. The weapons and drones you can obtain are very powerful for sure, but a few of them are mostly just for scrap-fodder. Reckoning is a stronger Payload, Castigator Beam is practically a super beefed up Mining Beam, and the rest of everything is just kind of there. Overall a very powerful cruiser, even if you don't end up using the unique equipment as much as you could.
Pretty chill run start to finish. It was cool assembling both a Nexus and True Ending capable setup with rather limiting factors across the vessel, such as no real Mind Control counter. I shouldn't really make a mountain out of a mole hill though; Augustus is Augustus after all, Debug is Debug. This was also my first run ever legitly purchasing level four Teleporter with 9999 scrap rather than through the storage check. On most non-obviously overpowered runs I go with level three Teleporter with Recon. TP, but on occasion I sometimes use level four without the benefit of Recon. TP if I were to use something such as fire strats.
