It amazes me how they allowed the michmichaels to randomly walk around a crime scene. They never handcuffed them or even took them away from the scene for questioning. It is clear that. From the moment they entered the scene they already assumed innocence on the part of the michmichaels. This is awful

Well it's Georgia. This is simply history replaying from the slave-catching days, I am not surprised by this in one of the former 11 confederate states at the least. Nor am I surprised this has happened anywhere in this KKKcountry.

Their racist friends didn't even consider it to a crime scene because it was a black man lying there dead. It really is disgusting. Listening to people trying to justify this young man's murder makes me feel sick to the stomach.

The fact that Travis McMichael had military police training and should know how to deescalate the situation, but instead, he pointed the gun and was cursing at Aubrey, kills the self-defense argument.
This is murder. Life in prison.

Cursing & de-escalation irrelevant to police when they shoot someone who tries to take their gun; also irrelevant in this case. Go back to logic school.

@@bionicpuma2920 Thank you so much. You have clarified something for me. All this time, I thought pointing my gun at people might be escalating the situation. 3). NOT ONCE did any of the THREE STOOGES claim Arbery attacked them on the day of this incident, ONLY LATER did they make that claim! When asked by 911 Police Dispatch "what's the emergency" the Elder Stooge replied "there's a BLACK MAN running down the street." LOL!....NOT "there's a black man running down the street who I witnessed committing a crime in the neighborhood within the hour.

This is incredibly dangerous and untrue, brandishing and especially pointing your weapon at another person is by definition an escalation unless they are already pointing a weapon at you. I question this mans sobriety to come into such a public court case and present this type of argument.
If you own a firearm never brandish or point it at another person unless you intend to fire it, in no way is brandishing a firearm an acceptable way to "deescalate" violence.

If they think about all other matters cop see someone with gun but pointing down. Cop says put down the gun and would not shoot until gun is raised. That’s brandishing to cop open fire. AA had no weapon no shank nothing so he didn’t have an intent.

@@SuperUsernamehere what crimes or crime did the victim commit? That is the issue - feelings aside. The prosecutor already eviscerated any possible standing the defense could have for making a citizen's arrest. First, the defendants had to have knowledge that the victim committed a crime, reasonable suspicion of a crime, or belief a crime was about to be commited. When the defendants gave their statements, they mentioned nothing about suspension of a crime initially. The defendant stated the emergency as "there's a black man running down the street" not "there's a man who committed a crime and I am about to make a citizen's arrest." The fact that the defendant is a former investigator and police officer with substantial deescalation and investigative training makes the defendant's actions ignominious and inexcusable. Last, there is no proof of the defendant being in imminent danger - the defense even stated that although crime had increased in the neighborhood they were petty and non-violent crimes. Again, there was no reason to carry a shotgun and aggressively pursue an unarmed man with the training the defendants had. The defendants could have deescalated the situation but had violence or malicious intent in their hearts that day. The defendant pursued the victim despite stating they believed the victim was armed. Why not call the police and let them handle it? Oh that is right, people only call the police when they are scared and feel they cannot get the job done themselves (most people). It's palpable the McMichaels were so confident in their abilities, they didn't wait for the police, just like Zimmerman, they wanted a piece of the action themselves, so they hunted Arbery down..You said it perfectly Mr. Doe, "If someone has a gun on me and I just committed a crime, Im throwing my hands up and cooperating." However, what do you do if you did not commit a crime and then a group of aggressive males points a shotgun at your face? Run right? Arbery tried that - to no avail. Now, what do you do when someone has you "trapped like a rat" while pointing a shotgun at you. Well, if you have a fear of gross bodily harm, illegal touching, or death and not a coward, you're going to defend yourself relentlessly with equal force. In Mr. Arbery's case, equal force would be grabbing the shotgun to try to neutralize the threat. The victim does not have to retreat in self defense. Unfortunately, the defense cannot claim self defense because Arbery never showed aggression or made the defendant's fear for their lives or illegal touching - else they would have been perspicuous in their 911 call (boy is that call damning). They were so unthreatened by Arbery, they brought a gun, not out of fear, but to hunt Arbery down, and then film his murder. The same way they would grab their guns with excitement when hunting animals. Again, with the McMicheal's law enforcement and investigation experience, there is no excuse for them to not lead with the citizen's arrest during their 911 call. Unfortunately, this is a sad case of skewed patriotism and a false sense of entitlement/protection. The defendants felt no remorse and expected no consequence for their actions; hence why they were so self-incriminating in their statements. The fact that these are not some wild vigilantes, but instead trained and sophisticated officers, an argument of a botched citizen's arrest is weak also. Bottomline: they murdered Arbery. I think they just wanted to scare Arbery, but one thing about those tables... who's scared now? Rise in Paradise Arbery! 3-for-1 you the real MVP.

Arbury at one point, on a different day, reached into his pocket so that means he might have a gun. They go after him and he doesn’t respond to them. He runs toward them as he’s being chase by the other truck and they don’t know what he’s thinking so he points the gun. Arbury starts to continue running but then turns to fight. Well they don’t know what he’s thinking to Travis has to shot.
Interesting. Is there a reason why they can do all this stuff based on “I don’t know” yet Arbury couldn’t have been thinking the same thing about their intentions? If they were so concerned about how dangerous he was why were they chasing him?

It's common knowledge that his sister Lindsay came out of the house that day and took a photo of Ahmaud's corpse and posted it on social media, so I'm assuming the mom and the sister were taking care of Travis's son while Travis and Greg went to hunt Ahmaud. Sounds like the mom and dad and the brother and sister were all renting together in a two bedroom house. So either Travis was sharing a room with his 30-year-old sister or he was sleeping on the couch. His three-year-old also lived there every other week. The McMichaels filed bankruptcy years ago over some medical bills. With all those issues, it's a wonder that Travis and Greg had so much time to worry about trespassing on a property that didn't even belong to them. What a screwed up family!!!

Ever since then I have reflected upon that social sting as if I had even had anything to do with the Civil War and its residual on going events to this day. It's not his place/property. With that being said, tracking him down when no crime sad witnessed was kind of ridiculous... Should have just called the police
