Had I never ridden Velocicoaster, I would’ve been super confused as to why you ranked it above Maverick. After riding Velocicoaster, I’d have to agree with you.
Same. When it opened, I didn't think it could be better than Maverick. Started asking other enthusiasts at CP when they're wearing Velocicoaster shirts and it was split which they thought was better. Now that I've ridden it, it's Velocicoaster hands down. That's with only 20 rides on it vs 100+ on Maverick at my home park.
I think I’m riding velocicoaster next week
Velocicoaster is the greatest launch coaster ever. Probably because of the type of seats they chose, your feet don’t touch the floor with a lap bar. That has a lot to do with all the forces you feel
It may be just me, but I didn’t feel that velocicoaster was as intense as the maverick. Loved it, but Maverick is still number one.
But were Velocicoaster still win without the theming? Would it win on ride experience alone?
man universal has been knocking it out of the park recently hopefully the coasters at the new park are just as good
Woahhh let's not forget about their screen rides lately...
@@Brandon-qd2lb They're out of that era. Haven't had a screen ride since 2017. Thats like 4ish years now. They're making good stuff now.
@@shamrock6975 they have like 15 screen rides
And there all good
@@stolenval5407 Jimmy Fallon and Fast and the Furious are good?
I came into VelociCoaster with super high expectations and was STILL shocked at how amazing it was!
I've never ridden a roller coaster before, but I was on vacation and my cousin invited me to go to Universal where she works. I decided to go big or go home and rode Velocicoaster first. That was the most intense minute of my life. I loved every second of it.
You are a brave dude, idk why but im just pretty scared of rollercoasters, they're completely safe but... Idk.
@@name23944 you just gotta go for it. I would suggest going on a launch coaster. You really don't have time to think like the ones with lift hills. One second you're sitting there, and the next second you're just in it.
@@Titter2 The only park near my area is a small park with one woodie. Its 65 ft tall which isnt alot but its the only coaster so yea. Its has some decent air time when i did ride it like 2 years ago, but i screamed for like the whole time lol.
Oh boy Ride to Happiness will blow him away then. 🤯
I'll be riding Ice Breaker, Hagrid's and VelociCoaster later on this month. Very excited! Was a little surprised to not see Cheetah Hunt mentioned at all though
for real
It’s a cool experience however on a thrill level it doesn’t quite match with other rides on this list
Ok nevermind how is the mummy on this list over cheeta hunt lmao
Surprised Cheetah Hunt didn't make the list. With the unique "tree" element and the dive through the canyon I think it's pretty incredible.
I agree so much with Velocicoaster. And lucky me, my first (and only) ride was a night ride! It was insane!
Yes!!! Hagrid’s is an amazing coaster! I felt like I’d just finished a great tv show when I first rode it
Cheetah hunt is awesome tho I think it should of made that list it is really fast paced and fun and the low to the ground turns on the water r dope it is just great but I agree with a lot on this list maverick is amazing although Hagrids did not have the thrills but I understand why it is high on the list
Honestly, having ridden Cheetah Hunt within the past year or so, I don't think it really diserves to be here. It was fun, but not anything like the ones on this list. It's not very thrilling, nor are the launches *that* good (compared to many others). Idk, I used to love it, but going back to it more recently made me realize that it's not as great as I remember it being as a kid.
I did go on it a while ago maybe it is different
Yea I agree, really weird it’s not on it at all especially compared to all the ones on the bottom of the list
Interested to see if F.L.Y. will make this list when you eventually get on it. From the Dutch guy you met at Velocistumble
great to meet you! I'm sure FLY would make it- it looks incredible!
@@CoasterStudios aaaaaand did it make it?
Verbolten mentioned!!! It may not be the biggest, fastest, or baddest coaster, but it packs a nice, quick thrill and holds a special place in my heart.
I am glad you like Maverick. It was my previous favorite at Cedar Point. SV and Maverick are a fantastic combo for the back of CP.
This makes me want to ride Velocicoaster even more!
Maverick is like the grandfather of modern multi launch coasters. Idk how somebody could not like it
@@brianharrington7663 I agree!
It's interesting how Cedar Point's two best are next to each other and Universal's two best are also next to each other.
Its still the best ride at CP even with SV
I don't know if you've ridden it yet, but I'd definitely put F.L.Y. in Phantasialand on the list as well. It's a new Vekoma flying coaster that also has 2 launches. And just like Taron, the theming of the whole area with the track weaving through it, is just amazing. I can imagine it's not quite as good VelociCoaster, but I think this one is definitely up there!
He has ridden the coaster
@@187Angelika88 but after this video was made.
@@brittariedel3446 ah ok
Time traveler and Pantheon look so good, hoping I can get out and ride them soon. Outside of the US, Taron and helix look absolutely incredible. Personally I have Copperhead a bit higher, but amazing list nonetheless. I haven’t ridden that many but my top 5 is:
1. Velocicoaster
2. Maverick
3. Copperhead
4. Hagrid’s Magical blah blah adventure
5. FireChaser Express
WHERE IS MANTA
@@dytamic last time I road it, I was like 7/8 so idk how I feel about it, I can safely say it is either at 6 or 7 depending on if it is better that cheetah hunt.
@@seshu3661 manta should be ir #1 shut up
Pantheon is great but the theming is just meh. They could have done a whole lot more in that department.
I did not expect Hagrids that high! I also expected Pantheon higher! But great list! My top 2 are Helix and Taron for sure! Also really like Icon!
Full Throttle is my favorite multi-launch coaster. The hangtime on the loop sells the ride.
I was blown away when I rode this I didn’t think it would be so fun
@@toiletblaster3125 that’s how you can describe it. It’s nothing but pure fun I love it
ride to hapiness is just crazy, the airtime is so underrated it's worth the trip to belgium alone. Nice vid by the way
Wow, Hagrid’s is high! It does have 7 launches, so I guess that has to count for something.
80-120 minute wait time. Still was worth it. Kinga Ka should've made the list. That ride goes from 0 to 128 mph in just a few seconds.
@@itzamia it only has one launch.
@@AaronFacciolini Just saw the title again, good point.
Rode Pantheon, Tempesto and Verbolten last weekend a bunch of times. Great rides.
The fact that Icon made this list makes me happy 😊
My favorite multi-launch coaster is Taiga at Linnenmäki, I just love the ride. The launches weren't the best ones but everything else was pure fun and as a whole, it was amazing. My favorite element on the ride was the zero-g stall, it felt so weird.
My current favorite is Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens Tampa. Some of my other favorites include Manta at SeaWorld San Diego, Full Throttle at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Maverick at Cedar Point and the Backlot Stunt Coaster clones at Kings Dominion and Kings Island.
I haven’t ridden nearly as many multi launch coasters, but based on what I’ve ridden:
8. Possessed
7. Wicked Twister
6. Tigris
5. Cheetah Hunt
4. Mummy
3. Hagrid
2. Velocicoaster
1. Maverick
Heading back to Universal next month and knowing that Mummy will be down for refurb really sucks.
@@aaronswords404 I’m lucky to live very close to Universal so once it reopens, you know I’ll be going to ride it
@@christarsitano3245 And I live pretty close to Cedar Point! Not a year goes by without multiple rides on Maverick and Steel Vengeance.
How could you have missed Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster? That has two insane launches and immersive theming! 😂
Mad respect for putting full throttle AND west coast racers in the top 10.
wow....I didn't enjoy West Coast Racers at all...I am surprised at how disappointed I was....
Great list!!! Once you have a chance to get on Ride to Happiness I’m sure that will make the list, but Great List!
Vekoma needs to make their way back to the US for some of their multi launch coasters.
excited to try out rides like Abyssus!
That’s actually a good point. F.L.Y at Phantasialand is theming wise such a great coaster and also multi launch. That counts for the whole section. Rookburgh is so immersive and detailed. It doesn’t need to be the fastest or most thrilling ride to be the best. Definitely worth a honorable mention.
Theme theme theme! You can only break so many speed, height, loop records before people start noticing the repurposed landfill that the coaster has been thrown into like a swing set at a trailer park. Lookin' at you, Panthe-yawn. Good list - I enjoy pretty much all your content. Solid #1 pick, too!
So true! That reminds me of F.L.Y at Phantasialand. Not the fastest and most thrilling ride but the theming and area are well put together. At night this coaster is a dream to ride. I fortunately got the chance several times 🙌🏼.
Maan I've only been on 3 of these but 7 of them I'm planning to check out for the first time this year. I can't wait.
Glad to see some appreciation for hagrid’s! It’s a super great ride
I liked the velocicoaster and also expedition Everest has a backwards launch going away from a broken track and a forward launch that plunges you in the largest drop
I expected cheetah hunt to be on this list towards the bottom. But I haven't been on most of these yet
Love that my home park attractions made top five and #1.
I think people forget there's still some great elements after the mosasaurus roll. Absolutely love that ride and wish wish wish it was here in So Cal and not Florida.
There's not much after the mosasaurus roll, just a quick, but fun airtime moment into the final brake run as I recall.
@@russ4moose 2 airtime hills and a whippy transition so it's 3 elements as you slam into the brake run and idk theyre so disregarded but they're awesome
I just watched the pov again, and I'll give you the whippy transition as an element. I'm not so sure that counts as 2 airtime hills, though. I'll say 2 elements?
Done 19 multi launch coasters (3 of which are clones), here’s my rankings:
1. VelocuCoaster
2. Maverick
3. Time Traveler
4. Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventures
5. Cheetah Hunt
6. Mr Freeze Reverse Blast
7. Volcano the Blast Coaster
8. Ice Breaker
9. Revenge of the Mummy (Florida)
10. Manta (SWSD)
11. Firechaser Express
12. Sky Rocket IIs (Tigris/Trmpesto)
13. Verbolten
14. Slinky Dog Dash
15. Backlot Stunt Coaster clones
16. Wicked Twister
Honestly loved all of these or at least enjoyed them
Thank you for including Mummy lol 🔥🔥🔥
Cheetah Hunt is really underrated
Islands of Adventure is so great!
Just got to ride Pantheon for the first time yesterday. Genuinely surprised me just how much I loved it.
Incredible video! I love these videos
Velocicoaster for the win!!!! Great video!!
Fury at bobbejaanland will always be in my top five! So unique in concept especially with the voting
Do more lists, they are so good.
I agree with your number one Velocicoaster. I rode it for the first time on my 40th birthday in February and I ended up getting the front row! It was insane! I’m from Cali so it was worth the flight, hotel, and park ticket just to ride it. I was shaking when I got off. I loved it.
Great list Taylor!
RTH is considered to be one of the best and craziest roller coasters in the world, i'd live to see your review of it one day
Great video!! Ah man, the itch to just go book Universal Florida right now is insane! 😅 That line up is hard to top.
I’ve rode at least 5 of these which are mummy, time traveler, magical creature motorbike, maverick, and velocicoaster and I can say that all of them from my experience were great
Love videos like this!
I have been on 5 of these coasters consisting of
Velocicoaster
Hagrid’s
Mummy
WCR
and Full throttle
This is my fav model :)
In the first half of velocicoaster, there are surprising airtime moments
Appreciate the love for Maverick, it’s still my #1 coaster.
How come you’ve only ridden 1 coaster?
@@buldasur2576 They said number 1 favorite. Learn to read.
it was mine until I rode Velocicoaster
A countdown ! Always love them. Most of the time accurate :P I was sure Cheetah Hunt would make the cut
Can’t wait to ride #7 this month!
Nice video as always
can’t wait to do velocicoaster in may!! I’ve already done maverick so I have high expectations
Well the only ride I've ridden on this list is Icon, but in the next month I will be trying out Ice Breaker, Revenge of Mummy, Hagrids, VelociCoaster hopefully for the first time 👀
Hate to be bearer of bad news mummy in refurb for the next 6 months. But regardless you will have a fantastic time was there 3 weeks ago velocicoaster and hagrids are amazing
Ive done of those Icon, hagrids, velocicoaster and ice breaker. Cant fault velocicoaster as number 1. Amazing ride. Going on a big US trip next year and will bw doing Maverick, cant wait.
I went to Busch gardens tampa for the first time yesterday! Cheetah hunt and tigris are the only multi launch coasters I’ve ever been on but cheetah hunt was my second favorite in the park (iron Gwazi was my 1st ofc:)
Since you went to the other Busch Gardens try Pantheon! (Busch Gardens Williamsburg)
Going down to florida in a few weeks to go to Universal and Busch Gardens, can't wait to ride Cheetah Hunt, Hagrids, Velocicoaster and Gwazi.
Pantheon has 7 launches too because the first launch and then it has 2 different launches in the middle and it goes over each of those 2 launches 3 times so 6+1=7 launches total
Going to universal start of next month, hoping to get on velocicoaster and it’s as good as everyone says it is
number 1&3 was SUPER fun
100 percent agreement with Hagrid and Velocicoaster
I agree with you. I LOVED Maverick @ Cedar Point, easily the 2nd best ride there just behind Steel Vengeance. I need to get back to Universal in Florida and ride VelociCoaster to find out if its really as good as people are saying.
OH MY GOD Update: it is confirmed I will actually be going to SeaWorld Orlando in May, and also got the chance to add Islands Of Adventure to the list of parks on this trip!! So now I will be riding 3 of these multi-launched coasters on this trip, and I’ll be re-riding Galeforce not too long after I get back.
Here’s my top 5:
1. Taiga
2. Ride to Happiness
3. F.L.Y.
4. Taron
5. Abyssus
you HAVE HAVE to try Ride to Happiness, best ride I’ve experienced
Riding mavrick this summer but volcicoaster is perfect
apparently Mack can make powerful launches like TRTH but they don't because it is apparently the parks choice
Taylor: Possibly the best indoor roller coaster in the world
Flight of Fear: I'm a joke to you?
I said what I said
Yes
8:20 Wait... you know people who were disappointed by Steel Vengeance? BLASPHEMY! I agree though. I think Velocicoaster is my #1 surpassing SV
Can't wait to ride VelociCoaster someday!
Also, Ride to Happiness and Time Traveler look nuts
And I'd love to ride Taron, it looks a lot like Hagrid's, which I love
I love launch coasters in general, it's such a great way to spice up a ride. Don't get me wrong, I love a good anticipation-building lift hill, but I'll take a good launch over a lift any day of the week
Here's my multi-launch ranking so far:
8. Slinky Dog Dash - Only got to ride this once, but I don't see myself ranking this above any others in this list so far. Still a pretty fun ride, also very smooth. 50/83
7. Tigris - The only SkyRocket II I've ridden so far. Tigris is a fun, quick package that doesn't feel like any other coaster I've ridden. 3 launches forwards and back, some good floater to ejector airtime moments, and some nice hangtime are crammed in to this short ride. Could easily ride this over and over, but it's at BGT, which has too many other great rides to check out! 37/83
6. FireChaser Express - The best family coaster I've ridden. You get 2 launches: 1 right out of the station, and 1 later on after the show section, shooting you backwards. These are somewhat stronger than the launches on rides like Slinky Dog Dash. This ride also has a lift hill, turns, and lots of hills that may or may not give you floater airtime. It's such a fun ride that really helps give Dollywood an amazing lineup. 28/83
5. Revenge of the Mummy (Universal Studios Florida) - Everything Taylor said applies to me; great ride! Doesn't really feel like a multi-launch, as only the hill launch feels like one (the others just feel like "pushes" like you find on something like Escape from Grigotts) but whatever. 26/83
4. Ice Breaker - Didn't think too much of this when I first rode it, but the more times I rode, the more I liked it. The launches aren't too strong (most in this list aren't) but they're fun. You get some great ejector airtime as well. Fun ride! 17/83
3. Cheetah Hunt - 3 launches, only the first one is jarring, but the other 2 still give that awesome sense of speeding up. This ride has a weird layout with "hills" and lots of low-to-the-ground turns. Throw in an inversion and the "windcatcher tower," and you get a long, fun ride. Definitely do at night in the front if you can! 13/83
2. Copperhead Strike - Underrated imo. Everyone likes to complain about the weak launches, but I just think of them as a way to get the ride up to speed-- a complementary element, not a main feature. This ride isn't a one trick pony either. It brings 3 awesome hangtime moments, several ejector airtime hills, and low-to-the-ground twists and turns that are decently intense. Let me ride this, Fury, and Intimidator all day! 10/83
1. Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure - This ride is so much fun. Theming, story, bike trains, SEVEN launches, spike, backwards section, "surprise" (don't want to spoil for those who don't know), turns, and speed. Sometimes I wish the conveyor belt would just keep going so I can ride again without getting off! Oh, and definitely ride at night if you can, it's not hard when the park closes at dusk and the wait is still 30+ minutes... 8/83
RIP Volcano
I would have included Ride to Happiness, but you hadn't ridden it yet so it's all good.
I agree with this list 100% except copperhead strike over west coast racers any day of the week
Top 15 midcourse break runs plz
You need to try Sandy's Blasting Baronco, it has 2 laps so you can count it as a muli launch and the intensity of the launches will most likely put it on this list.
I hope to get on it eventually!
It does have a rattle though
very surprised that Mr. Freeze isnt on here.
ICON!!
”Another one that could potentially make the list is Taiga”. Imo Taiga shoots in to the top five of these coasters. I rank it higher than Taron. It’s absolutely mental.
I know u didn't have ridden the ride to happiness yet but i gotta say its amazing
Its like you were reading my mind for the last week 😂
if you come to europe and were to ride rth it would definitly contest for #1 on this list, its phenominal
Disagree on the ejector air time on Full Throttle - you get some nice floater for 2 seconds before the breaks at the bottom of the hill slam you back into your seat. One of the least pleasant roller coaster endings I've experienced, which is a shame because the launch and hang time through the loop are amazing.
Pantheon is incredible but desperately needs theming. Was shocked by how little effort was given to the theming considering how often I hear about BGW being named one of the most beautiful theme parks in the world.
For me my Top 10 would be (I will ride Pantheon in the first week of April):
1. Velocicoaster
2. Maverick
3. Time Traveler
4. Copperhead Strike
5. Sandy's Blasting Bronco
6. Full Throttle
7. West Coast Racers
8. Cheetah Hunt
9. Verbolten
10. Ice Breaker
I'm not a fan of Hagrid's and find it to be pretty forceless. I thought Verbolten's drop track was so much better. I expect Pantheon to be in my Top 3-4.
Great vid as always
I guess some others great coasters could make this list : Soaring with Dragon, Dueling Dragons, RtH, taiga ... Time to ride it :p
A little surprised the Mr. Freeze clones aren't on the list. I personally count it as a multi-launch with the boost on the spike.
Fun fact: they took the controlled-spinning magnets off the trains of Ride to happiness. It has been free spinning since it opened last year.
I'm going to get to ride Pantheon for my first time this year!
Technically F.L.Y. Is a multi-launch coaster too!
He hasn’t ridden it yet, but hopefully he will in the summer!
next year another multilaunch by intamin will open in parque warner madrid spain, hope u come back to my homepark
And That's Why Intamin is so amazing!
about to watch. Skyrocket 2s better be #1
Only if it was Zombie for the double loading and two times around, but I'd still put it behind galeforce and cheetah hunt. Hagrids would be way lower here for me though.
Wait a moment. F.L.Y. in Phantasialand (the flying coaster) is also a multi-launch coaster. Why isn't it even mentioned?!
Because I don't think Taylor has ridden it yet. He doesn't rate things he has yet to experience.
@@detroitdiezel7856 yeah. The thing was that he didn't even mention it. But he answered that somewhere else.
I hope to get on it this summer- I'm sure if I had been on it, it would've made the cut!
Probably because he hasn't experienced it yet for himself. The pandemic put a stop to many planned international trips.
Pantheon is my favorite multi launch I have been on
Can’t believe I get to ride Pantheon on a school band trip
