Even if it was an accident or animal attack, what if someone's hurt or needs help? You can't just ignore these things. Or rather shouldn't ignore them, just because it's easier to do so.

Prince Rupert had and has quite a lot of crime, RCMP just don't bother investigating anything that has to do with indigenous people.
I am from Prince Rupert, in 2010 I was raped in my home by so.eone who I had thought was a friend. He was a local indigenous man and I am also indigenous, it took them almost a year to arrest him. They actually gave my case to an officer who was not allowed to leave the detachment.
It is only that I am an educated indigenous woman with my social work degree and my perseverance to him being charged and facing trial, that I ended up successful in that fight and due to the evidence I kept on my assault, when presein court...he decided to plead guilty.
He got to keep his job, while in jail for just over 6 months, while I lost everything and ended up with PTSD.
The RCMP are a joke.....with huge racism and abuse towards indigenous

I am from Prince Rupert and was 14 years old when Alberta went missing. I can tell you that at night Rupert had jam packed bars and when the bars closed everyone from all the surrounding bars would group together in front of Bogey's. This was called Bar Crowd and it was a fun and wild time. I was a wild teenager and would drink and then go walk around bar crowd and have a blast. It was when people planned what party yo go, hook up for the night, fights...lots and lots of fights.
It could be very scary, but exciting for a young teenage girl.
Rupert used to be crazy in the summer when the fishing was good and canneries where running, lots of money for hard work and people would then party hard.
There have been many indigenous people who have mysteriously died and there never is a person found guilty. I am indigenous from one of the reserves close to Rupert called Lax Kwalaams or Port Simpson.
Rupert is also the end of the line for the highway of tears, where woman still get killed or are missing. RCMP here barely investigate or care for the indigenous people.

People should learn the true history about our Native American people It is so sad what was done to our ancestors. I left my reservation because living there was just horrible which is sad because I miss participating in all of our traditional ceremonies. I am a proud native Pueblo woman. CINDY619 - similar has happened to our Indigenous Peoples here in Australia. It is very sad. It’s like they are stuck between two cultures and are lost. I don’t know what the solution is because they can’t go backwards and they need to keep their culture. They have to be allowed to make the decisions on their future themselves instead of others telling them what is best for them...because nothing has worked out too well so far from white mans interference. Some communities in Northern Australia have things working pretty well, but they are the minority. Alcohol and drugs are a huge issue.

I want to know about the people I look like but he decided he didn't want anything to do with his U.S family back in the early 80's. My mom is his youngest child and I'm assuming he left his Canadian family as well but then went back to them in 1982, I was born 14 years later. I see it at Pow-Wow's where Nations tend to stick together and it's hard for an "outsider" to learn the language and culture. Remember, it was still illegal for a Cherokee to own land as far back as the 1970's, so closing ranks is a way of preserving their culture and keeping it to themselves. Preservation, you might say. Understanding it doesn't make proving Indian ancestry easy, for a reason.

It’s so tricky with family members testifying and talking about other family members you don’t know how deep the loyalty goes 🤷‍♀️ we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors such as how close Alberta was to her family or for example how close jack is to them if jack was closer they could be protecting him (if he was involved) there are certainly lots of common denominators involving him. To me though it is suspicious that so many people in the same place on the same night can have so many different stories .. I understand there may be slight differences from people’s point of views but this seems excessive to me .. that what makes me think maybe people are keeping information back. The different stories is maddening, but I think Jack, Ken, and Carol are all involved somehow.
It seems possible to me that she left the inside of the bar with Jack, but once in the parking lot they split and got separate rides to this party where the alcohol was dropped off- Jack goes in one car and her in another with 3 white dudes Jack befriended. Ken was never in the bar but came to the bar from his shift with 2 friends and he was the driver and never got out of the truck.
They drove to this apartment party, stayed shortly, and went from the party to where Jacks wife Amanda was, leaving Carol at the apartment, then drove back to town, dropped off the other two white guys and picked up Carol and went to Jack’s house.
Jack, Alberta, Carol, and Ken are all there but Ken went out to get alcohol or was just somewhere in the house where he wasn’t visible from where the nephew’s brother walked past. After they are at Jack’s house, something happens to Alberta; and Jack, Carol, and Ken are all involved/witnesses.
When there’s some huge event with tons of people who are all drinking, like the last shift of the summer, it gets crazy/messy. I definitely had nights in college and have witnessed other people where right after finals the whole town is partying, people are jumping into cars of people they don’t even know because they heard some other party is better, splitting up friends groups and somehow drunkenly finding one another later, etc. In retrospect it terrifies me that this was so normal, and thankfully 98% of the time where I went to college it all turned out fine, but we definitely made ourselves vulnerable and anyone witnessing different snippets of the same event would’ve described it differently because we were all over the place and there was no rhyme or reason or logic to it.

I find it odd that her cousin saw Alberta on Saturday after talking about her being missing at their grandmothers celebration? Especially if Jack was at the celebration and acting weird? Where was Alberta during the celebration in that case? Also, it’s one thing to not tell police, but to help her back into the truck to leave with these suspicious people??? So many questions.

I sent in a case suggestion not that long ago, it is a solved case, but it is SO interesting!!
Daniel Morcombe was only 13 years old when he went missing from the Sunshine coast, in Queensland Australia on the 7th of December 2003. They have found his remains and a man has been charged and sentenced. BUT, the way the police caught him, is absolutely insane!

Okay, I am a bit confused, but here's my theory.
Friday morning and night: Jack had been molesting Alberto as a kid or teen or pimping her out. This could explain why he was hovering over her and seem to have dominance over her. Or, he could have presented as a "house mom" so to speak. Like a cool uncle who buys you drugs and alcohol, but has ulterior motives. I think that there was a secondary party going on that night, but that Jack and who ever wanted to keep it small. They probably only told certain ppl or denied it to others. I believe that this party was a set up, but Alberta didn't know and tried to invite other ppl. Perhaps she felt uncomfortable or knew something was off. I believe that the night of the party, Jack meant for Alberta to be raped by those group of men. Perhaps as a payment for a debt, ken could have been involved too. The ppl who saw the white truck/van could have actually been seeing the puke green truck. Perhaps some saw her get into that truck but thn later switched cars to the black car b4 leaving the bar. I do believe that Amanda, Ken, Jack, Alberta, and Carol + the 3 mystery men where at that 2nd party. I think Cathy and/or Amanda wasn't supposed to be there. When they(Jack, ken, and Carol) realized their plans were ruined, they brought her bk to Jack house. Or maybe Amanda/Cathy/Carol all left after putting Alberta in the truck and thought Jack was going to take her home. The rape could have happened after the 2nd party was over; hence, why Alberta was crying and still with Jack and Carol. Amanda probably didn't know what happened. Ken could have left to cement his alibi.
    Saturday morning and night:
Perhaps the rape or assault happened Saturday morning and this is why Cathy saw Alberta driving off with those men. Someone could have been in the backseat with a gun. Or maybe she was motioning for Cathy to join her since they were supposed to meet up any way. If she was seen saturday evening drunk and with Jack, it was after Cathy had saw her. Perhaps they stopped at the house to pee and that's when Amanda saw her. It's odd that she was the only drunk person in a group of sober ppl, especially when most of them were men.
Over all, I believe Jack, Ken, and Carol was involved in her death. Ken being a taxi driver gives him room to move about while still verifying his alibi. Who's to say he was actually working vs helping to hide a body. I think that Jack and Ken were pimping Alberto out for money or to pay off a debt. This is why the group of men were hanging around her and Jack. I think something went wrong which resulted in her death Sat evening. She was still alive while ppl were looking for her.

Yurrah Al-Hadi - wow you followed it all better than me. I just thought Jack did it and his wife made the phone call as Jack confessed to her. And that’s why they moved away. So many conflicting statements from people, I would have to listen to it all a few times to get a grip on it.

@@jdxx59 Yh, I had to pause and rewatch parts. I'm still confused but got the gist of what happened. That's honestly how I think it went down. In most cases where there's 1 drunk out of her mind girl surrounded by a group of sober ppl/men, the predator is in that group. Especially since ppl saw her at varying stages of sobriety. It's like Jack was intentionally getting her drunk. There's no way she could have been that drunk for 2 days straight. I think she blacked out and woke to them raping her or she decided she had enough and a fight broke out. Everyone placed her with Jack and their stories are all true, just parts of the larger picture. They were all seeing it from diff angles.

I wander and talk to random people and try to make new friends, etc etc. obviously I’m no way in shape or form blaming her, I’m just curious how drunk she was and how many people were keeping an eye on her? I wonder how much CCTV was around then? If the friend that saw her in the black car, I wonder why police didn’t look to see if there were any cameras pointed in m the area to check.
