I have had the DM285 and have found it by accident and thought yep let’s get it and try as I have owned other flir image devices. This DM285 is awesome and having the Bluetooth to phone app is awesome. Also screen record with iPad and can email that video. Now the DM286 has logging. Duh getting 1 today. I travel a lot to startup commercial/industrial Cogeneration, Heat Pumps and Electric boilers and large water heaters. The Flir multimeters have been a pure joy. The removable battery pack use a mini usb cord to charge. Yes rechargeable battery pack. I could go on and on about how much others love the look of the color screen to the size. I own many Fluke and other multimeters, muggers, oscilloscopes, etc. This Flir DM258 and now DM286 are in a separate class. Pre Covid they were less then $500. Now corporate greed they are almost double that cost in 2023

Awesome, how is the battery life on this thing?
Approx. 6.5 hours in IGM mode with display brightness set to medium.
Approx. 10 hours in Multimeter mode (medium brightness)

Does anyone know if the new dm286 comes with the probe holder that screws onto the back, from what i can tell there appears not ?
