My dream needle distributor design, To start distributing from bottom of the basket going upwards, so that it closes all the gaps on its way up for a channel free extraction. I think it’s doable, but no one has done the design yet.
i got their 14 needles WDT tool recently, and my shots are more consistent while using it compared to blind shaking with MHW's original shaker. i think they priced the SE PRO a bit high for just a blind shaker . but that's just me. thanks for the review!

@mycoffeeshow111 very low retention, if get clingers you can just tap it and they will fall. You then are left with a very light dusting remaining but far less than what I've seen on other original designs. I got the silver one and it just looks so good.
The website shows to shake the grounds horizontally or in a circular motion after the shaker is already in the portafilter. Have you tried this method and if so, how well does that work?
@@sekf yeah, I don’t follow any rules other than my own 😛. If you do it the way they say it becomes more like a dosing funnel rather than shaker. But to answer your question, yes it works.
I’m gonna stick w the old style one from now. It works fine for me: but, I do think new one is very neat! I’m waiting for the $800 autoshaking, auto dispenser from Weber. 😅😅
@@mycoffeeshow111 I have the mantis. I almost always use it after the shaker. Mostly because I’m ocd, maybe? I like the way it looks so fluffy and even. Not sure how much better it makes the final product.
@@Valspartame_Maelstrom I see your point. Right now I use both this shaker and their new WDT tool. The extraction looks better than if I only use WDT but more testing needed to confirm.

@@Howie-bz5pe jokes aside i think a high-end grinder and an average machine is a much wiser setup than vice versa. i believe you get the best espressos of your life with that bundle.
@ both Kafateks are sold. I am happy with what I have. DF83v with cast burrs is not far away from Max. All I need is a perfect pour over grinder. DF64 with MP is ok for that but not top notch
The lack of need for a funnel looks nice, but beyond that? Seems wildly overcomplicated for no good reason, and the fact that you can't shake it vertically without gripping the smooth aluminium in a weird way is a *major* design flaw that should have been eliminated long, long before this entered mass production. Losing the ability to shake the middle plug to move coffee through is also a major usability downgrade IMO - the up-and-down motion looks far more annoying to deal with. And, of course, as this is a part that needs rinsing out after use, the more complex design looks like a downgrade once again. Heck, some people might like it, and more power to you, but to me this looks like an attempt at over-engineering a "solution" to non-existent problems.
@@Kraaketaer I see your point completely. On the website you can find much easier way they recommend but I wanted to share how I use it.
