      You realise your feet alignment is off? All your better shots are usually on the tee. As you use the grass stripes which gets you square at address.

    Recently got back into golf and just did 2 days in a row. This popped up on my timeline, and despite never really watching these types of videos I watched the whole thing.
    I felt the pain on the put for par on 9. 😭

    This is a good round for a 2 handicap. I'm a 3.5 and my ghinn card is mostly 78-82 with a handful of 74-77 rounds that tug it down.

    TBH, for a 2 hc player, lot of missed fairways, not exactly tap in birdies, always 1 putt from a bogey, just goes to show how good the top professionals are 😊

      True, my front 9 wasn’t exactly a highlight reel. But the back 9? Vastly improved. Golf’s a lot like life-you can always turn it around after a rough start!

      @@alexwhittlegolf absolutely! Case in point: Last week I was 4-over par, 40 on the front-9, then turned it around with a 4-under par, 32 on the back-9 for an even par round. We LOVE golf!

    Solid and consistent swing, and very good course management. Although those par fours are shorter holes very smart play to keep the driver in the bag and leave yourself comfortable wedge distances into the pins.

    • @alexwhittlegolf
      @alexwhittlegolf  3 дня назад

      Thanks! 🙏 I appreciate the comment and the understanding that on these shorter courses it is important a lot of the time not to take driver just for the sake of it and to play the percentages. I could have tried going for every green on the shorter par 4s and ended up +10, as that’s not the play. And like you said I was trying to leave myself with a decent wedge yardage 🤙

    Just an observation, at 4:46 your shot was pretty straight but you seemed to be aiming at the right side of the green. Is that intentional? I was just wondering if you planned to hit a draw, or it was just a little mis-aiming..

      You are bang on, great observation. An issue which has since been picked and and one I have struggled with in the past. Aiming my feet too far right, this is what has become to look square to me when stood over the ball but is obviously not. So I have been working on feeling like I stood open, which is in fact square, takes some getting used to but it's getting there :)
