Very cool video, love the scientific approach. I do have some data on the guy myself: 1.In the old version I survived him by building a pillar with overhangs like for spiders. I'm not sure if that still applies with him now being able to break blocks. 2. You can outrun the Man in water if you're in a boat. I'd advise doing this over trying to catch him in the boat if you're near a body of water, as boat pickup mechanics can be unreliable at times. 3. If you fight the Man head-on, I'd advise you turn on hitboxes (F3 + b), as the hitbox for mobs like him can be a bit jank, and having F3b enabled gives you a better chance of hitting him. 4. DO NOT try to block yourself in. I did once and he instamined through 10+ blocks of solid stone to get to me. Also, don't stay in your house. Not only will it not save you, but he'll also destroy your house if you do.
build the house/treehouse atleast 5 blocks higher than the ground and u will be ok lmao, do not build pillars at the edges of the house to make sure he will just stuck there doing nothing I also applied it to build a defense tower to take the man out easily
HE used ot be weak to getting hit thru slabs- now since he can break blocks tho. (guessing up to a certain hardness level of blocks, doubt he breaks everything)...yeah, it'll take things like obsidian etc fully covered
welp, shields, shields are userfull, just keep blocking and even if you dare atack at the right moment. if ur low dont risk and keep blocking, like that it will just damage ur shield and the lightning from it dispawning will be the only thing hurting you, The man from the fog CANT sink in water (unless theres magma blocks below them) one thing i usualy do to escape the man from the fog its to sink myshelf on a river/lake and when im on the deeps of it i dig down and place a block avove me, like this i can be safe and not drowning while i wait for it to stop, doors work as well on that same situation

That's why you should use firearm and gun mods like TaCZ:Timeless and Classic Zero or really just any gun mod I guess but I would still highly recommend TaCZ:Timeless and Classic Zero because a lot of that mod's guns can one-shot anything

I know the Man from the Fog has been updated a lot- but you forgot to try enchanted Protection 4 Netherite armor with Turtle Master potion lvl 2, and maybe a Gold apple or Enchanged golden apple- if you fought him with that, he'd probably get destroyed , since that is the same gear people use to fight Wardens and beat them
Fun fact man of the fog has 300 hp so gl honestly quite surprised the golems killed him also he can break any block that is below wood hardness so fun the most reliable way I’ve found of countering him is to make a platform basically build up put 1-2 blocks around the edge and your good hope this helps :)
you can kill him with sword and shield but you need time it perfectly you heard hit and then quickly hit him and again block his attack+(friend can help you when you are blocking his attack they hits him)
The Man feom the Fog can destroy blocks with durability 2 or lower, which is most blocks. And about the water, he can swim but he is unable to dive, so building a underwater base or just using a door is a good strategy

you can actually swim slightly faster/at the same speed, if you actually swim and not do what you did in 1.12.2 and below also, why you calling him the man of the mist in this?
