I think that is about as close as you can get to sheer musical perfection in uplifting an already perfect but simple song. And both soloists are nothing short of breathtaking. Chapeau!!
This is superb in every way. Absolutely love the strings as lush backdrop to this haunting melody. Musicianship - totally off the charts. The Mix and the video - perfection. Thank you for this transcendental experience.
Beautiful. At first glance by the title I was afraid it was going to be a little like Bob Seger's, "Turn the Page" where it just isn't melodic enough to translate to an instrumental arrangement but this was fantastic and the improv between you and Liya was gorgeous. Weaving in and out of the melody. Well done! My faith in modern Jazz and American popular music is restored.
Hi Chad, beatiful sound. The solos are so tastefully played! I love the dramatic effect created during your solo through the modulations. I enjoyed it very a lot! Thanks for the gem!
You have to listen to this with good quality speakers or full range studio headphones to get how well this song was mixed. Please do if you can, it is great on a phone, but really elevates if you can hear the full frequency range.
@solarmusic6667 First few seconds starts off a bit plain but stick with it. After the piano solo Mr. Chad explodes with an impressive sax solo. Great team effort too.
Bittersweet fact about the writer of this song Jim Croce: Jim died in a plane crash in 1973. This is more than 50 years ago now. This means his music is in the public domain, at least in countries like mine that use the 50 years from the death of the creator rule for copyright.
Absolutely stunning! You never cease to amaze me. Makes me want to trade in my selmer sa80 series 2 and my Conn 10m. Would love to try your horn. Modern sound all the way and see at the same time!

Jim Croce in this arrangement is cool. I love that this song has like a really big contrasting minor to major thing.
