Just wanted to say, I’ve been following you two for a long time and love your content. Keep it up!!!
In regards to the busy trains. I just got back from Tokyo about 2 weeks ago and I did ride the train/subway during evening rush hour twice. It was busy, but not Train Station Pusher, busy. First, I did notice, whether it was an Obaasan, or any ages in between to elementary students, when they need to get off, they just bulled their way through. It seems as though it’s an unspoken understanding…you will lean/shuffle as needed to make way for the people getting off. As far as getting on and off on opposite sides of the train, during my many rides they only exited and loaded from one side, whichever side the platform was on. People queue up to get on the train and riders getting on will generally let people off before the get on.
Second, the suggestion of moving towards an exit prior to your stop is a good one. As you ride the system, you will start to notice “hub” stations, which have one or more connections. Generally speaking, these stops have more people getting on and off. You can sort of figure out these hubs by looking at the rail maps. Stops with more named dots above the stop, each representing a connecting line, generally speaking, the busier the stop. If you can’t see the maps above the door, you can listen to the announcement of the next stop, which is usually done in Japanese and English at the very minimum on most lines in Tokyo. Stops in between these hubs tend to have more people getting off than on, which may give you an opportunity to reposition yourself in the car. Another good indicator the hub is going to be busy, is the well-known named stations. For example, Tokyo Station, Shibuya Station, Shinjuku Station, etc. Just my 2¥ observation, take it for what it’s worth….LOL.

I stayed inside with my air conditioner on 66 degrees Fahrenheit while it was 110 outside for like 30 days straight.

Interesting to learn about the reason whales were hunt down.
I've always thought it was because whales( and Dolphin) were steering the Enola Gay Bomber.( just kidding)
    それ以外は素晴らしいし、日本語バージョンをよくアップしてくれるのもいいことだと思う。
