Nice end result, but 2 comments if I may, before I retired I was a toolmaker in the plastic injection molding industry, my job was mainly to polish steel from machined finish to mirror finish. My first comment is that you should always clean the area before moving onto the next grit of paper, all that residue that's left is the previous courser grit than what you are using now and can get on the paper and contaminate it with the courser grit. And the second one is when sanding and polishing you should always rotate the part its not necessary to be a precise rotation but just rotate it regularly otherwise you get scratches all the same direction and it takes longer to bring it up to the next level, By rotating it you create a very very fine cross hatch which is easier to sand down and polish.
So do I need all those sandpapers to obtain a good shinny art piece? Cant I simply reduce to 4 sandpapers? If it's all about cleaning the place and difrent rotation movements?
This is exactly what I was looking for since A LOT! of time, thanks for sharing because you're the only one who have said everything listed and explained, thank you very much : D

I hve one doubt question plz tell me clearly if u can.. Seriously we cn use wood polish for resin shinning? Or pls can u suggest me wht products should i use for resin shinning polish?? Without sand paper just need polishing
when you add colours to the resin to make swirls etc..., is it a form of ink or paint ?. If paint is it oil or water based and if ink, what kind of ink. Keep up the good work. OH OH, could you do a video or let me know, where you get the necklace parts from and how you install them into the resin, many thanks.
But it doesn't wither? Because every time I try with real flowers or leaves they always change color because of the heat from the resin. Do you have a tips?
I use a drum rotary sanding bit 120grit with light passes Then dry sand from 120 to 400 grit Then wet sand from 400to 7000grit Always clean surface down between grits ...then polish with G10 .hope this helps
Is it just me or does the fact that he doesn’t wipe up in between grits making anyone else mental? I’m just busting your chops. I do know, however, you run the risk of leaving particles behind from the previous grit that can affect your overall finish so it should be cleaned up after each one and your piece rinsed well. Thanks for the video!
Hi, thanks for sharing. Sometimes even after all this I still have very very fine scratch marks, sonthe surface is not like a perfect mirror, is that normal?
@@interestingideasOfficial Yea. That's true. Im trying to have a finished product after curing. So that I don't have to grind at all, but that doesn't work for all projects. 😅

It is likely that the old scratch was not completely removed when grinding
@@interestingideasOfficial thanks for the feedback. So you usually get perfect mirror-like surfaces after completing the polish process?
