This wasn't the cleanest recording for the first fifteen minutes, but I'm glad it cleared up because it has to be one of the best Lucky Strike Programs ever aired. It's a pity the show was only a half hour because I think the Colmans and Benny's cast could have gone on a wild tear with that material. P.S. Kudos to Jack's writers for that Lucky Strike commercial. It was sublime.
I've been looking for this episode ever since I lost my old computer.. thank you!! LOVE how Colman out Jack Bennys Jack Benny.. Masterful performance...
I think Ronnie Colman only did one Jack Benny television show. Colman and his wife Benita were eventually replaced by Jimmy Stewart and his wife Gloria.
Surely one of the best episodes ever. Great idea.

Nobody can sell Luckys like Ronnie Colman!

Yes- he and Benita appeared in a filmed episode (that wasn't included in future syndicated repeats) telecast on November 4, 1956.
They must've had a blast doing this in rehearsal and the laughter must've filled the studio
