@@FinalCutFro The Movie Is Gonna Make Us Fall In Love With Zazie Beetz, And She's Gonna Be The One He's Visiting At The End Of The Trailer, Shoot Her In The Gut And We're All Gonna Hate Him Again. Classic Joker. 🤡
Thomas Wayne is the guy on the TV, Bruce Wayne was the little kid who has the interaction with the joker smiley face part. I can't wait to see this movie.
You’re absolutely right! These comic films including anything and everything from the MCU has mostly consisted of PG humor and bad jokes. It’s time we get to the nitty gritty and spend our money on films that makes us think deeper into these heroes/villains.
It's time we learned more about his descent into madness, even thought that doesn't change what he becomes. By the way, the song "smile while your heart is breaking" , for you young folks, that's Jimmy Durante.
Don't know about the final product but, for the looks of it Oscar nominations for at least cinematography and something tells me Joaquin will get his well deserved Oscar.
Great reaction, beautiful trailer. Finely a Joker we deserve, and an honest point of view. Batman and Joker as antagonist and protagonist...leaves you with the sense that Batman was right, but the truth is, they were both flawed, and took different means, to the same end. Now...we get the other side. Namaste
t's slightly "A Killing Joke", but Martin Scorsese is the producer or one of, and you can get the tone from Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy which stars Robert DeNiro who is the comedy club host in this trailer. It definitely feels like 70s Scorsese with Taxi Driver and incorporates maybe a little bit of Hitchcock's Psycho.
I am intrigued by this. I think, partially, that's because it isn't part of the DCEU? I suppose that might sound kind of weird, but... yeah. I remember being so oddly captured by Heath Ledger's dark performance in The Dark Knight, some grim, fey nuance that he brought to the role that Jack Nicholson (for all that he fit right in within the Burton film) didn't. I'm curious to see where they go with this, and the fact that it's a standalone makes it all the more appealing.
Hey Mark! I agree. I just saw Shazam!, and I was so excited leaving that film because WB is letting DC make content for everyone. It's nice to be able to see these characters in a different setting, and not be restrained by the overall story goals of a "Universe."
Might be too early to call but Joaquin Phoenix possibly might get an Oscar nod? Maybe? In any case this trailer was something but moreso the person to talk about is Todd Phillips. I mean for someone to direct films such as ROAD TRIP, OLD SCHOOL and THE HANGOVER and now helming a film that looks nothing like anything he has ever done before that if the film lands with critics and audiences we may start to see Todd in a different light. Also interesting choice for WB to not include their logo in the trailer. Makes the film look more independent.
Watching this again, unless I’m crazy, I’m pretty sure the staircase we see him walk up/dance on are the stairs from The Exorcist. The stairs where Father Karras leaps to his death out of Reagan’s window
Hey! I saw Shazam! last night. I really enjoyed it, but it helped that you warned me about the childishness of the content. It actually made me more excited for The Joker, because WB is allowing DC to make content for all audiences. Thanks for watching!
I think he's going to start out a little weird and off, but generally nice. Then he will go much more psychotic and it will get really messed up by the end.
Yeah I am really smiling in disbelief of how naive people are, thinking that this Joker will be 'likable' or 'sympathetic'. Pretty damn sure that this trailer was constructed in such a way to throw everyone off. This guy is going to be nuts from the start, but the violence will probably only start around the middle of the movie and he'll do some unforgivable things that will corrupt him to the soul. I hope that everyone walks out of the movie theater traumatised and shocked at themselves for empathising with him in the first half of the movie.
I finally had the chance to see this yesterday, and was amazed by how captivating it was despite its darkness and nihilism. What did you think, when you saw it?
I would say The Dark Knight was a story just about the Joker. Yes there were other things, but everyone was following after the Joker trying to stop the joker
Doggiee, doggie, doggie, doggie. Great reaction, we get a glimpse into the psychosis of Arthur. It's suppose to be a hard R, so this movie is going to be disturbing. That's little Bruce Wayne being consoled after the deaths of his parents. WOW😢🤡!

Girl you need to know the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath, psychopaths are born while sociopaths are made this version of joker is a broken man hell bent on destroying society who has gone bad and his also sketzo crazy.
She said that J P. was asked to do Dr. Strange,.. which IS MCU, and turned it down. J.P. as Joker,..smfh.... someone is trying to get a fuckin OSCAR from a comic book movie.
hahaha! I can't blame him. That would be a great Oscar trivia question decades from now. "What movie character has earned two Best Actor (Supporting or Leading) wins, and who played the characters?"
His laugh is more darker and his even without make up his eyes have that dark deep sinister joker look no offense to him. Following his happy world into madness..
Palantir Sorry I’m a little dense today. Could you please clarify? Do you mean Phoenix as an actor inspiring future actors that will eventually play the Joker, or do you mean that his version of the Joker will inspire individuals in Gotham to follow him like a cult, or will he inspire the Joker that goes up against Batman/Bruce?
@@justanotheresperantolearne9246no I'm talking about the story, not about the actor, the little boy in the trailer is Bruce Wayne so the timelines don't match up
This looks more like an art piece than a superhero movie.
Yeah, which is what probably attracted Joaquin to the project. Can't wait to see more.
Oscar Nom coming in for Joaquin
Let's hope so. It's being released at the beginning of Oscar season.

This is going to be a work of art.
That moment when he comes walking around the corner in full costume....Wow!
The trailer is so good! Chills and goosebumps when I saw it. Joaquin Phoenix is amazing actor :)
You are so right about “The Joker” character. It’s a challenging role for evey actor. 👌

One of the most intelligent reactions I've seen (been watching all of them)

and all the greatest comic books explore these themes
So glad you feel the same about Joaquin Phoenix! This movie is gonna be a good one! Good reaction 😊
You look Beautiful. And the Trailer looks Good I've always been a Fan of the Joker so it will be interesting to see this version of the Joker.
Thanks Dustin!

I think maybe you should research these characters a bit..... Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the Joker are properties of DC comics not the MCU

Seen Shazam yet? Curious to hear your take!
Hey Clark! I did see Shazam! I want to review it but my SO is too loud. I'll let you know when I post a review.
And yes this joker looks great. I have lots of questions but can’t wait.
You said MCU, Inthimk you meant DC
I absolutely meant DC. With Endgame it's hard not to have the MCU on my brain.

He going to blow heaths joker away.

this is the first joker, but not the last 8>)
