1. The Asian continent seems kinda Russia (Not sure but it seems like) 2. In North America it looks like Mexico where you've made a peninsula, looks like Baja California 3. North Asia is REALLY similar to Europe like Spain with its islands, England and denmark and France too. 4. In south America I can spot Italy in the bottom with Sardinia and French Corsica Nothing else I guess?
I am currently making a fantasy map, and I can't even begin to describe how similar ours are! For example, I struggled with trying to put too many islands down, and unfortunately, I realized like you that I wasn't leaving any big oceans, but it was too late. Finally, we both just winged the coasts, making it very squiggly and with a lot of peninsulas. Also, you can pin more than one comment, so. . . First off, the northeast continent is Europe, you can see iberia, the little brittany peninsula, and the rough medditeranean sea. Secondly, and perhaps just as obvious, the area connecting north and south america is a reference to the bering strait, "maybe a million years ago there was abridge here, the water is very shallow" And the last one I saw, although maybe unintentional, in the middle contintent one of the eastern peninsulas looks very Alaska like.
I’m doing this aswell! I have a project of making a fantasy planet with its own countries called Planet Murkinia. So far, I’ve finished the map with terrain and the country borders, but I’m still yet to do the country names, capital cities and flags.
At the south of "South America" i could kinda recognize Italy's boot and Corsica and Sardinia. For "North America" i recognize a reverse Alaska and a weird Baja California bit in the north west. For "Asia" i immediately recognize most of Europe in the northern part, i recognize Liberia, France, Benelux, central Europe, bits of Denmark, what looks like England, eastern Europe, and maybe even the Baltics. And that's really all i can recognize. I tried lol
I’d love to watch more of these. Also you should make a 5 episode series of the future of this map. Let people decide the names and you show the future. Could be cool
I think it could be really interesting to have a “what if civilization started over” type series on this map. Maybe as a season 2? Or maybe this could be a new planet settled from the end of Alternate Future of the World season 1 finale, and this planet is slowly settled by an isolated group of humans.
you should do a series building up this world and going through its history and such, i like your normal mapping but i think fantasy would give it a nice change of pace for us to look forward to.

I think the best way to make fantasy maps is start with tectonic plates to make more realistic mountains, to make realistic rivers and lakes
