Not sure if your plan is to have shealter's all over that place . But you doing a hell of a job at it.
Never got the notification but i know like clockwork on sunday's to be looking for my relaxation in the woods with Corp. Was only 35 minutes late today lol
I'm from Greece and I've been watching all your videos for years because you're so good. If you have time, watch this video CHOZA O VIVIENDA PRIMITIVA. Construcción tradicional de este refugio en la naturaleza | Documental
My kids have this memorized lol. The programming finally worked on me; bought the bedroll cooker, used for ribeye over a fire, works great
That’s a British army shovel. They’re awesome Corporal. Awesome show to.
I never fail to be impressed, a man who literally NEVER shirks the work! Love these recent builds.
I think it needs to be said. Corporals Corner is my go to for all bushcraft projects that I commit to doing. He demonstrates all questionable crafts like knots, and fire starting alo g with great recipes for simple quick food prep. I really enjoy the MRE review thrown in on the side. All in all.... You Rock Corporal! Thank you! SALUTE!🇺🇲
Thank you for your service
Today in Canada it is Remembrance Day. Not a day of mourning but a day of rejoice that people like you have been fighting to preserve our way of life fighting adversity, I really love your channel and often wonder what the world would be like if you and many others were not there to continue believing in a better society for us all.
Please continue to make video's for us, And once again thanks for being out there it encourages us to want to do better/
so I have a story..my daughter was out by a lake with only a bathing suit and a sweater. she got trapped in a rain storm for an hour so she 17 made a shelter backed up on a large rock. I was so impressed. Her grandpa was an ex marine taught her everything she knows. She said she was scared a bear might get her but in the shelter she felt safer.. if a 17 year old young lady can do this anyone can..
Former marine, ex marine. Aren’t those like the same thing🤓🤓
Its so much easier to find a ready shelter for example cross section for a lean to and can do so much with it and even dig down thanks again for another perfectly good example 9f what to build and ideas of good simple food...👍
@@dantea9413 Always a Marine. Sempre Fi brothers
That's a great story ! I might be wrong but it feels like for me Corp teaches if you can picture it in your head you can build it the real important part is recognizing the materials you will need
@@dantea9413 no, they’re completely different, and you’re racist to think that.
Shawn, I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your episodes. I’m sorry there are so many self-proclaimed experts who think they know better than you. They are legends in their own minds.
Happy birthday Marine! 247 years of outstanding service! And a happy Veteran's Day as well! This was yet another outstanding build that mentioned some of the features I would always want to incorporate. I know you only have so much time before us squirrels lose focus. Here in Oregon, and other places in the PNW and beyond, we can have rain go on for a week+ easy. With this build looking forward as longer term shelter I haven't heard of anyone mention a space for storing up fire materials so they stay dry. And a question on the willow tree if you will. Would this particular tree possibly be able to support a larger, wider, a little taller shelter? Longer would be my thought on a spot for gear, wider would provide for 2, and maybe a capital A build for the gear instead or other supplies. Again, I know time constraints on YT are huge and I among the masses deeply appreciate your efforts. Thank you again for this channel and your service!
Thanks, loved this video! Happy Veteran’s Day!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Have to say, Shawn, the acreage that you have is an amazing place for your weekly projects. I never miss an episode. Your skill and content is the best. Thank you.
Another excellent week of bushcraft skills from the master himself. Long may they continue.
It's amazing what The Corporal can do with sticks and mud.
Shovels are essential survival tools, even as much as canteen, cookware, and fire starter. I never get tired of this content never gets old. I think you could make a how to video on all of your useful knots. Keep up the awesome survival content Bro.
Last Friday night I woke up freezing even though I had many blankets and 2 cats on top of me. I started coughing all night through Saturday. Sunday I was vomiting up mucus, headachy and ice cold. Monday I went to the hospital in an ambulance and was tested for COVID & it came up positive. The worst thing is my stomach hurts so much from all the coughing. Today is day 3 of my quarantine. Now the ultimate survivor test awaits. They gave me antibodies.
I still love these videos and thank God for RUclips for the periods when I cannot sleep. My Ipad will no longer charge so I can't watch anything on it. I am watching this on my Silicon M1 Mac Mini.
Good luck bro, i hope everything will be fine with you 😉
Hello from Poland and Wales ✌🏻🇵🇱🏴
Corporal's Corner. Where skill, experience and imagination collide. Thank you for another great video.
Way too go corporal. Me and my mates used to build stuff like that back in the 1970s in the woods in the UK. We learned it from our older uncles and brothers. So I guess nothing is new. But yours it's outstanding and it takes me back.
My motto , Deeds not words. Corporal those fried chicken gizzard looked awesome. Great build. Your Motivation Keeps my old ass moving. Thank You. Gitter Done
Outstanding af again Shawn
I absolutely love chicken gizzard and hearts . I was raised on them with mashed potatoes and cream gravy covering everything . It like SOS . You can't beat it and it taste amazing .
Outstanding! I love the fireplace builds. Fried chicken gizzards and spuds. Add a couple of High Life’s and I think they call that a Milwaukee Grooms Dinner. Keep up the great work!
Your projects are a must see for everyone. Simple citizens or army guys. Clever, simple, honest job as always. Thank you Shawn 👏👏👏
Always like before I watch the video because I know it will be awesome! Congratulations on 1 million followers as well!
Shawn playing in the dirt again! Semper Fi brother.. adapt and overcome!
Love you dude… Also thank you for your service!… My advice would be, for what it’s worth, don’t be so negative….all the wonderful things that u are doing are being “downplayed” by negative comments……your work is outstanding-concentrate on your work- fan for life !
pumping the algos baby!
This was a great build. My oldest daughter has been watching your outdoor adventures and you have inspired her to set out on her very first solo camping trip this coming weekend. She made a list of items to take and used some of your ideas. So excited for her stepping outside of her comfort zone. It’s a state park but hey, it is a start. I love me some fried chicken gizzards! As always, thanks for all that you do! Cheers 🍻 amigo!
Awesome Video!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!🙏
Happy Veterans Day! Thank you for your service and sacrifice for this great nation!
🫡🇺🇸
I love getting early notifications for once. Looking forward to another life lesson and training on bushcraft. Thanks Corporal!
Watching for a second time. I look forward to your videos every Sunday! Cool builds! And those gizzards are some good eats. I may have to find me some and relive one of my childhood favorite meals..
Amen to that. I think that is some of the best parts of the chicken!!!
Always a great Sunday with the Corporal!! God Bless America 🇺🇸 🙏
For some reason that one looked like it kicked your ass, corp. I know every year it must get tougher and tougher to come up with ideas and just preform the amount of labor involved in these. Thanks for all your hard work so I can sit in PJs and watch you on a Sunday 🙏🏻
probably too much drinking with Coalcracker the night before
Final thought was spot on. For most who speak about what someone should do or shouldn't do, usually comes from a poor attitude and with that they are honestly jealous of who they are talking about. The Tongue shows the true heart of a person especially when all they do is talk and have no motivation to act.
Your video did not post to me, but I knew you would post on Monday (my time) so I searched for you. Thank you for what you do. Love your channel. I look forward to seeing your creativity. Thanks.
Always like your fireplace builds nobody does that better
You will keep building and I'll keep watching.
Another great one! Thanks for sharing!
My Dad drilled into me that "Actions speak louder than words."
I have a folding shovel in my 4x4 and my AWD!
Corporal Kelly,
I love you videos,
I'm a Veteran Canadian infantry Soldier,
I actually had the opportunity yrs ago to train with The Big Red One Troopers at Ft Riley.
I'm now disabled and cant do what you do but I sure enjoy those memories of being a Grunt..
Dont Stop until you reach your objective!
Altra cool build 👍👍
I just wanted to tell you that you are an inspiration to us all. You are a man of his word and won't give up until you achieve what you start out to do. I have a great admiration for you. Thanks for being a leader and a great example to us all. Also your teaching methods are outstanding.
You are not only a teacher but also a doer.......... Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and talents.👍👍👍👍👍 Charlie Wright Salem Oregon.
I don't say it enough, but thanks for all your hard freaking work!!!!
This is one of your BEST videos BTW!!!
great video had to come back to watch it trice.👍👍👍👍👍
All your hard work, I get a sore back and knees just watching.
I bought both my boys one of those shovels foe Xmas! Love the shovel.
Another Outstanding Shelter Corporal's best !
The loudest drum is always empty except for plenty of cah cah for others to step in ! So one must follow ones own actions as long as it does no harm to others or ones self !
Toilet needs to be further away and down wind, LoL But showing how to construct one is not a horrible idea. I enjoy these quick makeshift shelters the best, they make the most sense in an emergency or lost in the woods.
Once again the Corporal comes through proving you can make a shelter out of anything like I always say nobody can compare to the Corporal nobody does it Corporal style you are the best and nobody else even comes close to your channel keep up the awesome videos thank you for everything you do for us the gizzards looked really good 👍 love ya Corporal your the best
Thank you for all the hard work you put in for these videos. I've been doing some of your simpler builds and its exhausting. You're in a class of your own Corporal. I hope to make it to your nav class next June!
and still fight for views, but thanks for the support
It's so lots of fun to see what you can build from nothing. It's interesting and a lot off learning moment's. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Yes, and spammers. I report you!
Love the videos.
Your shelter imagination definitely equals your stellar skills. Excellent as always. Thanks as always.
Your best video ever ! 👍😉
Thankfully summer is over, allowing me the chance to once again watch Corporal's Corner.
Hit the Like before i even watched the video ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved building my forts when I was WAY younger. Only difference now is the price of my tools and toys! Keep it up, Shawn! Screw the haters, and hackers!!
I came here from your newer video because you told me to
ditto
Love the content of the videos. Young people and old need to watch these learn how to do things hands on. Never a dull moment keep up the good work 👍👍.
Nice build and like the idea of adding on improving etc. It will be rock solid with a foot of earth then grass etc. Be good to see the end result.
Liking the fireplace theme.
1 million subscribers! Congratulations Corporal! 🎉
Whoooooooooooo
Just want to say Happy Birthday today, November 10th. Semper Fi. And thank you for your service this Veterans Day!
I don't understand the negative comments about having a shovel. As far as I know, soldiers have been carrying an entrenching tool, AKA shovel, into the field since Caesar's Legions. As a Marine, I would expect it to be part of your "standard" load out.
Another great video. Thanks for your effort.
Yeah Shawn I agree a shovel is probably the most versatile tool you can carry
Shout out for the chicken gizzards!
Blue berry oatmeal and deathwish. Seriously, my ideal breakfast. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The corporal made himself a Yoda hut. Impressive it is.
Now he waits for his Padawan to show up.
So glad you are making these emergency shelter videos again
No idea what RUclips's problem is with this video. Seems outstanding to me.
Another excellent natural shelter. Of course, they're so much work, but they look so good and - they feel so good.
Better than any Plastic Sheet. You can't do this so easy in Germany, except you own a forest or have a big enough property.
Fortunately, next year February i'll move on to an old mill in the woods. And there i can gardening, farming chicken and trouts and build as many shelters and base-camps as i want. JACKPOT!
Thank you, Corporal.
Awesome video !
Sorry about the website woes. Appreciate the hard work put into this build. I also appreciate your simplicity of construction. 14 hours. Whew! But the concept and construction itself are not beyond basic skill set. What is really great is the advice on the next stages for improving such a shelter. Weather proofing and making the shelter into a longer term investment. But most importantly I appreciate you rocking the M1961 field pack, dual canteens, and harness! Love my old school gear. Respect.
The level of badassery on this channel draws parallels with the great Chuck Norris, as such let me start: Cpl. Kelly doesn’t have a carbon monoxide detector, carbon monoxide has a Cpl Kelly detector.
Outstanding shelter, outstanding chicken, outstanding talk at the end
I didn't see no bacon. I'm disappointed 😆. Ty for teaching me so much, keep it up
More bad assery from the Corp. Entire shelter made from natural materials in the field. No cordage, tarps or knots. I have two of those shovels and they are kick ass. Not to get too political but the words of wisdom are spot on and timely as we approach an extremely critical event this Tuesday when we try too try to save our great country. Look forward every Sunday to that notification.
I would like to hear Jordan Peterson comment on the popularity of your channel. Is it the kid in all of us that spent our childhood building forts in the woods or is it the more primal man building shelters to survive that your channel awakens. Either way your channel speaks to me and many people in away that touches the soul. Thanks for what you do, seriously thank you
Good video as always, and since it's on Thursday this year and not a video day, Happy birthday Marine. 247 years and counting, Semper Fi.
Would love to see you make larger bushcraft huts
I know your military background and the thought of trapping heat comes into play in your videos. But let your inner fort building kid out!
Your words at the end were really Valuable to me as a fledgling RUclips Channel. Thank you For your Service.
You are showing what Mors always said in this video. “The more you know; the less you carry.”
Your bonus segment, now morphed into Corporals Final Thoughts, is a gold nugget! Keep up the good work!
I could tell that little dinner would never hold you over until morning.
Watching for the 3rd time this week! My lady said we have to watch CC this week! Little does she know I watch every Sunday then usually again with her during the week! Great video as always Sir
Dont forget to mix your waste oil with material like saw dust, leaves, dried soft weeds to make an excellent fuel source.
Kinda crazy you mention fallen trees because thats one of my fears while sleeping. Granted i sleep under glass atm so i think thats justified.
Duuddee, mmaann, dduuddee! There getting better and better lately. Thank you for the hard, steadfast work for us Corporal, it has helped keep me on track the last few years. Thank you.
Happy veterans day sir
Corporal that was Outstanding!! Again showing why I call you the hardest working You Tuber out there!!! That is a lot of work for a overnighter, the fire place in the shelter is always Awesome!! Keep it Rolling Corporal!!
Corp, hows that hunting shelter coming along? I was just wondering if you were gonna revisit that after you've polished it up a bit.
Words< actions< patterns. Your patterns have demonstrated quality values and have accomplished much. Let the bystanders/trolls do thier thing and let them stand being indecisive. Do you to the best that you can. To simplify (by my perspective): Outstanding example of quality.
Thanks! "This is my shovel. There are many like it, but this one is mine!..." (Apologies!)
You standing there in camo and the foggy mist behind you reminds me of my brother in law god rest his soul he was air borne in fort Bragg N. C. We used to deer hunt every chance we got and usually bogged down in his huge four wheel drive truck in the 70’s no phones only c b radio if someone could hear you trying to explain where you are is something else if we knew anything about this type of camping we would not have slept leaning against a tree freezing to death you have so much knowledge and thanks for sharing
Man, if all these shelters are done on your Property, you should leave them up and rent them out as rustic Air Bnb's... LOL
First off damn outstanding build, totally went with it 😃, second I think I've become a man of action, 7 years ago I was stuck in a bad job and decided to get out and that was the best decision of my life, since then I have helped a few of my closest friends to attempt the same to their successful benefit 😃😁, I feel if I can do it, anyone can do it and hopefully better 😉, great words of wisdom and definitely looking forward to your next video Corporal 👍🤙🤙🤙
Im
Not sure where you live but if you ever need a backyard to do your video in, we have about .25 acres of woodland in our backyard that should be perfect, up in the Pennsylvania mountains. You’d be welcome to come here!
Back for my second view. We watched this one last week.
At one point I recall that you owned a substantial acreage. Do you leave all the shelters you have built in place or do you tear them down ?
Looked like that shelter was nice and warm with that fireplace. Great final thought too!
watched this twice now just for your numbers.
