Mumford & Sons where do you get off!? Making great songs with original vocal melody. Playing a banjo!!! Comin from this whole other country. Making me feel good and wholesome inside. Great damn job! way to go!, now I feel old. Thanks all the same, seriously.
I am a 13 year old gentleman who listens to a lot of metal, classic rock, and hardcore. I was listening to Alexisonfire (a post-hardcore band) when I discovered their guitarist/vocalist Dallas Green had a side project named City And Colour. I fell in love with City And Colour and eventually my obsession with them showed me the glory that is Mumford And Sons. I have not stopped listening to them since.
Finding Mumford and Sons here on RUclips was one of the smartest things I've ever done. I saw their song 'The Cave' on the sidebar, saw how many views it had, and decided: "Eh, why not give it a listen?" I had immediately decided that it was one of the best songs I've ever heard. Then I clicked on 'Winter Winds'. I was officially in love. And look at me now- a proud M&S fan who knows the lyrics to every single song. They're simply amazing.
I'm a two and a half month old guy and I've been listening to this band for over a year, while all the rest of my friends are listening the The Wiggles or Justin Bieber. They need to grow up and learn what real music is.
I feel a trend here... Im a 13 year old guy and have been listning to this band for a couple of years, know a few on guitar ( including the cave), and this is my favourite song by this awesome band!
This song captures every shivering emotion I felt when I got dumped. The desperation, the crushing loneliness and the surrealness of it all.The feeling that the world is drab, grey and void of emotion. That crying is futile and after the bliss only death awaits.
I am 16 and have loved mumford for the past 3 or four years. They are truly amazing and can bridge the gap between all generations and I wish more teenagers would listen to them (:
It's not often that a group will come along I pay any attention to that others like, because I love REAL music and not the junk most people turn out today and KIDS like, but these guys are so great. Love to listen to them.
haha couldn't agree more, so many better known artists out there, who are so much less musically talented than M&S. But lets not worry about them, they don't know what they are missing out on! This is proper music!
The minute i heard them (After The Storm) i was hooked. "Who was that!?" I sought out every song. Would be really depressed if they weren't around... I'm not that kind of person, I think - they've changed me. But, that's what they do to you, yes? Thank god.
Just gonna jump on this train and agree that I am a 15 year old girl and I love this band. Also, if you like this check out Of Monsters and Men. They are just fantastic:)
We gather here today to honor the Replay Button. He lived a long, fun life. The cause of his death is uncertain, though experts say it could be due to the extensive clicking by 19,176 people. His legacy will be kept on by the amazing beautiful songs produced by Mumford and Sons, that he live for.
No okay. I'm also a teen, but there is great music out there that a lot of teens like. Heaps of teens don't follow the mainstream stuff. Even though, unfortunately, the shit they call mainstream is followed by a good number of fans.
Scott Grim of Minor Step Records has just covered this song! To find covers of great songs like this or original songs that pay homage to great acts like Frank Turner, Mumford and Sons, or Noah and the Whale, then you should definitely check out the channel! Thanks!
the background music between 2:19 and 2:33 remind me of another song that I've heard... thinking that it was sometime in the 2000's...? and possibly by a rep type group... Anyone know what I'm talking about? lol

I'm a guy of a certain age and I'm a conformist...oh and I love mumford and sons and started listening to them before they ever got big.
I'm a two and a half month old guy and I've been listening to this band for over a year, while all the rest of my friends are listening the The Wiggles or Justin Bieber. They need to grow up and learn what real music is.

Love all of M&S.... Why can't more teenagers like this? I'm pretty sure we all would be a lot more at heart.
I love it how some people are like 'I hate that girl voice' but it's actually Ben..
I'm a 2 month old Big Mac and I enjoy listening to this song under the grill every time the fry cook plays it on her iPhone.
