Good very detailed report. Your analytical style is very good. Unless you jump from one Volvo model to the other ie. Car tester, what difference does it make if the panel is shared?
But I'm just wondering is it worth the upgrade against the CX5? I'm referring to driving experience, comfort, safety features altogether into consideration. I'm just thinking XC40 as a strong consideration to me because of it being very nice interiorly and driving experience + comfort (as mentioned) in your video and of course the badge.

It is a very nice car. Love the design even though that 2 tone paintjob has appeared before on the Renault Captur. Value of course XC40 bro. It produces the power equivalent to a GLC300, it's RM100k cheaper to buy, and it has full suit of advanced safety features that the GLC250 doesn't have. The GLC has a larger boot and comfier second row that's it. The XC40 also out handles the GLC. But i have to say the GLC still looks so classy and luxurious after all these years.

All controls is through the touchscreen infotainment system. What if the unit fails especially after warranty? The whole SUV would be inoperable and repairs expensive.
Logistically challenging but i can already tell you that if I were to put aside selling price, the Tiguan would've been last place even though it handles. Weak points would be the 7 speed DSG when compared to the other two's transmission. Engine no doubt XC40's pulls strong. In terms of the drive, which includes how the drivetrain pairing works, sound proofing, handling, highway cruising, stop go traffic etc, XC40 is best, and last would be Tiguan (even tho it handles great) design wise, Tiguan is last too when compared, both interior and exterior. But Tiguan's packaging was done really well too. All in, if it were my personal preference, it would be Volvo > Mazda > Volkswagen

Volvo forget about the booster seats in XC40, maybe due to the platform issue. Hopefully the CKD version can be included.
