    Hope it opens and is more reliable and doesn't have as many issues as the original, time will tell how it goes.

    There’s so much drama and negativity surrounding this whole situation that I don’t know what to think or believe anymore 😭
    All I’m gonna do is wait this whole thing out and see what happens but I still wanna visit Cedar Point TT2 or no TT2 bcuz some of those other coasters and rides look worth a trip there

    I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that it's open by the end of July. I'm planning a massive, 5 park trip then and that would be the cherry on top.

    I am thinking July 4th, as a safe but temporary redesign. It run through summer and will have a more permanent fix in place this fall. I believe Zamperla will pull it off and next year this will be more reliable than dragster 1.0 ever was. We have yet to see what Zamperla can do with the engineers they brought on from Intamin, and once the kinks with the lightning trains are worked out, I believe they will push the limits with their designs. Just maybe not as far as Intamin is going with Falcons Flight, and who knows how reliable that will be.

    Tony Clark's statement was before they got the new parts in and they didn't work. I hope they can get it open before August.

      At some point, thinking "positive" is not being realistic. Eventually one has to step back and look at the entirety of a situation and evaluate it. And sometimes that means admitting that a certain situation is less than desirable. Like this one.

    Great video! I was thinking to me those wheels look liked they were made more for show and looks but if they were made thinker or a lot thinker they could handle the stress more. Also maybe if they replaced the wheels every so often maybe that wouldn't be too expensive and time consuming. I really enjoyed watching this!

    I saw on Twitter, and it is extremely concerning. They put covers on the trains, some people including myself, think they could be sending them back to Zamperla. If thats the case, Id be shocked if it reopens this year. I hope im wrong, but so far ive been right about everything on it.

    I bought a damn membership for top thrill dragster 2 and they have epically Failed. They need to reimburse bc most of their membership sales came from the anticipation for 1 ride.

    I hope you're right about these being minor issues with the wheels. The last thing we need is for this ride to be just as or even more unreliable than it was as Top Thrill Dragster.

    Who cares at this point? I already went and spent a fortune to be disappointed! And it’s not like they’ve had great, consistent operations or customer service the past two years! Actually kind of tired of hearing about the positivity to this park! Go as “GP” without a fast pass or media access and see. There’s a handful of reputable companies, whose engineers would’ve figured this out before hand! They saved millions, too lose millions, seems pretty redundant!

    • @Coasters4life_
      @Coasters4life_ Месяц назад +3

      I don’t think you realize that the coaster is a prototype. Zamperla (the manufacturer) has never built anything like this before. The ride just like any prototype is going to have issues and that’s to be expected. The people who made the ride are working on it and trying to get it back up, they aren’t just going to hire some random 3rd party engineer and tell them to fix the ride that isn’t how it works. They also aren’t losing millions. The money for fixing the ride is most likely coming out of Zamperla’s pocket as they want to keep a good reputation with Cedar Fair.There are also other good coasters at the park yet people act like TT2 is the only good ride there. Be a little more patient with the park they are trying there best to keep the ride safe and reliable unlike the original Dragster.

    • @tractorgt
      @tractorgt Месяц назад +3

      @@Coasters4life_ You also need to remember CP is not one to buy off the shelf working coaster models. They challenge these companies to build bigger taller and faster. Intamin makes great rides plain and simple. It's cp's fault they had 20 years to mess around with this thing with Intamin and waited until an accident caused by cp's poor maintenance to do anything about it. Then the project goes to a noob in the big coaster game. Intamin already had trains that worked on this track. Why not look at the wheel bogeys they already own? 🤷 Because Zamperla feels it necessary to "reinvent the wheel" pun intended.

      @@tractorgt Your point is valid. Kingda Ka is still hydraulically launching. I imagine Intamin still participates with keeping it operational

  • @MrKsanders1985

    Stop being delusional. The trains are being removed and sent back to Zamperla in Italy. They cannot handle the forces created by the ride. Zamperla should have never been chosen for this project. Cedar Point took the cheap route and this is what they get. Both Zamperla and Cedar Point suck.
