I love Pastor Matt and pray for him and his family and this body of Christ at TVC and it’s leaders constantly. As crucial and important as it is to encourage and support Pastors and how they willingly and boldly exploit their God given talents, and I say this lovingly, let’s please remember, the messages are awesome simply because our Savior, Jesus Christ is awesome. Let’s be excited and encouraged of the message and not just the vessel who delivers it. No question, I love how P. Matt brings his “A” game every time he is speaking. It’s amazing to see how simply and practically he delivers the messages. And so I pray fervently for this body not to get foggy just by the talents but by what is accurately and boldly being taught to be challenged and convicted to bring change into our lives to plant seeds for the Holy One to be glorified. Excellent way to say it! I say that all the time. Knowledge at our fingertips and we use it to argue over politics and post unrealistic filtered photos. And what would Christmas be without The Resurrection. We need to be awakened. And I love CS Lewis. What an inspiration to humanity. Who else can define the parameters of humanity while inspiring us to reach further.

Unfortunately every society that became luxurious also became a ' just do you' society. They never ended well. We are too lavish, too wealthy, and too healthy. We don't have to rely on the contribution of fellow community members for survival. But....that won't last. History will repeat itself, and Rome will fall.
Matt touches on being disciplined by his church in this sermon, and was completely open and honest about his mistakes in previous videos. Matt is a flawed human like the rest of us, praise God that the Lord still chooses to speak through him despite his failures! Only Jesus could work through a sinner like Matt.
