Gotta admit, the old man apologizing for his actions was a nice change. Never heard someone say they would call police back and cancel the call. Someone gave him a crash coarse in public relations.

Man, didn't expect this audit to go this way when I started watching. Old guy started off being traditionally foolish, but then came back, apologized without being prompted to do so, listened, and learned.
This goes to show that, even if you start off looking bad, you have the power to turn things around and make yourself look good.

@@JakeStrange66 The US Supreme Court has ruled through case law that recording video is a protected 1st Amendment activity through the "free press" aspect of the 1st Amendment.
If you do not like like that then take it up with the US Supreme Court.

@@JakeStrange66 Apparently you did not read the wording of Price v. Garland or you would have known this.
It refers to filming for making a movie and/or documentary in Federal Parks, not filming on public property, government property for the purpose of gathering news content.
Justice Ginsburg made that distinction in her response to the decision.
Now, following your logic any press organization is forbidden from filming in public and/or on government property because they make revenue stream from their news gathering.
Name one media outlet that does NOT make revenue from their news service....name ONE.
CNN gets paid, Fox gets paid, MSNBC gets paid, NBC gets paid, CBS gets paid.
I think you see the point and how sorely you are completely wrong in your interpretation.

Another great audit, and props to the old guy. I've lost my temper and reacted badly a few times in life too, so I always appreciate seeing someone take a breath and straighten up their act, his apology seemed genuine. I don't believe in God, but I see churches at least sometimes inspire people to be better, more compassionate.
Btw, I live in Orange County, I'd love to tag alone on an audit sometime and watch live

  • @muckster57

You notice no one, or hardly anyone, ever says why they think they deserve information. It is always, "What is this?"
Never, "Hi I'm the Assistant pastor, or bank manager, or whatever."
But they want to know who you are and what "We" are doing.
The "we" always gets me. I think I would say something like, "Well I'm not sure. I know what I'm doing but not sure about you"
One thing I have noticed when I talk to people.
A lot of people can accept that public photography is legal.
But many people still think you need permission to record children.

Black jacket: "Maybe they think we're Scientologists. No wonder they're doing an investigation. They probably think we're all crazy! Let's go clear it up."
Blue jacket: "Yeah and you know, I should have thought about how I was representing our church and myself when I first approached them. I was behaving like Scientologist. I even told them they were welcome but was clearly being aggressive and unwelcoming. Everyone welcome indeed. I'll own up to my mistake and hopefully they won't leave with the same bad impression I made at first."
Black jacket: "My brother, are you about to ascend and become an Operating Thetan?"
      Blue jacket: "What???"
Black jacket: "Oh, um, I was just saying good idea. Let's go talk to them."

Yet they're always insistent on finding out those motives regardless. I'm also fascinated by their need to approach multiple times and in different groups.

Those in power have made the average person so insecure that they are terrified of everything.

I do not want to judge people too harshly but when your whole approach is to treat you lovely people as if you were degenerate criminals just because you have a camera.
You guys were nicer than you needed to be. That is for sure.

As a pastor, bring a water to offer each of the men standing in the sun filming. Good on em to invite them in but practice hospitality. The last guy was on point.

8:00 It is always interesting to observe the dynamic of two people approaching. In this case, one was consumed with fear, anger, and ignorance. On the other hand, the other was open to reading the information provided and it was obvious that even though he was younger, he has learned a LOT more than the ignorant old man. When I was younger, I always thought old people were wise. I have grown up to realize that old people are just an older version of who they were when younger.

I wasn't there and I believe the local vibes help determine authenticity, but his apology seemed 100% real. He seemed ashamed of his behavior, if not for you both, then at least in the eyes of the Lord. I have a tendency to over-react due to my anxiety.
