It's a good.fan and yes is definitely louder than a dyson. The problem I have is it randomly turns on by itself. I was getting my daughter in trouble for leaving it on then saw it turn on by itself one day. This is not a feature of the fan so not sure why it is doing it

Cleaning inside the fan is not recommended. However, you can unscrew the back side and try it yourself.
