When you get a grab and go unit like that for 10 bucks you cant help but make money. You likely made 20X your money just on the ring if its real gold. Just keep what you want and what you want to sell and donate or throw the rest away. Just leave personal items in the unit and let the facility call them. Test the ring with acid, if real, weigh it up and online you can find the scrap value. Congrats. If real the ring could be 200+ If I was close by I would buy the ring. PS NEVER COMNTACT FORMER OWNERS unless you want to take a chance to have a stalker... lol
Yeah. next time i wont do that. next time i will just leave their personal stuff in the unit and have the facility deal with it. Def getting a 2nd look at the ring. but other than that cant wait to get another one.
@@DarkeCountyPicker Thats all you gotta do Jimmy, no need to send anything back. The facility will call, if they dont pick up the personal papers they just toss them.
I bet that even that handmade pillow could sell nicely. Was there a mower? I believe that we would do the same thing with the photos...it's just a few dollars to save someone's memories. I think you did very well with this storage unit! Congrats! -- Shannon
Thanks Shannon! No it was just a box of clothes and more pictures/court papers. We should do pretty good on what we found. Esp. with only spending close to $13 dollars for it
I probably wouldn't of if I didn't see their birth certificate, and high school diploma in a bag. But, glad the police station is going to let me drop them off to the dept before my work lol if I keep getting these then I can't do this everytime
Well look at you! Nice video, I have been thinking about buying my first one...but I don't think I could bring back all the content to the house cause I don't have the room. I think I would have to sort it at the unit into piles so I could donate, throw away and bring home only what I need to from there. Are there a lot of confrontations that happen when people buy these units?
My process was pretty smooth by using the website i did. Def going to make quite a bit of profit for the little of what was there. you could start small before you get a big one to get the experience. not going to be scared to do another one but yes i got to knock a lot of my inventory down before i get a big one.
No they told me they would waive the cleaning fee with how much stuff was in it as long as I showed them a picture of it cleaned so I only had to pay the 10 plus tax. And if I win another locker at the place I won't need to pay a deposit either :)
What😧 I'm way more excited for you than you are🙄 My eyes spotted some great things to sell.👍 Tip- if you have stuff you don't want to sell, you can look up a local auction house & bring there, or Facebook Marketplace. Good luck, looks like fun to me 😁
Will do so far the ring a jewelry store in town offered me 40 for it but going to take it to one around my work for a 2nd opinion. So worst case Monday ill have 40 bucks lol

Nice! A 14k ring in a $10 unit is a great start. It's like golf. That one item is what keeps them coming back. Congrats! 🔥😎👍🏾🔥
Yeah I can't wait for another one but got to wait a bit. I just got to learn how to look at the pictures to see if they are good ones or bad ones lol

For $10 that's not bad. you really went out of your way to contact the pervious owners, its cool that you did that.

Glad to hear you sought out the police as opposed to sending out. 🤘
Yeah a lot safer. Just trying to do the right thing to get them their personal papers
Literally struck GOLD in the unit man! Can't beat that!
Hopefully lol 😆

Wow, nice - definitely NOT a bust. Q for you - did you have to pay a cleaning deposit too that you'd get back afterward?
