Hey Canti! Watch 5:05. This was one of your best shots. You didn't fall off the shot which can be related to your timing. Also keeping your shoulders in a strong position will help. These are things I try to do. I have the same challenges and you've seen it too. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas to you and Phyllis!

Watching the video, it looked like you were popping up during the release, which looked like was having to throw tight/left. Also looks like you might be overturning your wrist to try and add revs.
Notes for another practice would be to see if you can stay down during release(without over extending the arm) and try to take a couple of practice shots to focus on how your wrist is moving during your approach.

You are so right about over extending the arm! In my reviews of my good games I am swinging through my mark instead of reaching for my mark - that is the feel i'm trying to regain. Tks mattor

Try coming less around the ball and more up the back. Looking pretty good to me!

I'm going to try and go back to my glove and take a look, I think the brace is automatically bringing me around the ball because I am feeling my V between the middle and ring finger flat in line with my mark before release, but I'm seeing the rotation at the bottom.

I do not see too much wrong with the release. I know that brace kind of forces you to turn the wrist. My suggestion is to get comfortable with getting the ball right.

After 2 days I found my comfort zone and made adjustments for my 2 benchmark balls. Today, I spent time working to find base lines with 2 other balls.

Hey Canty......we as amateurs, we tend to come around the ball more than we should. That being said, check where your breast plate is pointing when you're at the line. For a ball with that much surface, and with that brace, you should be slightly open. On a few of the shots where you crossed the head pin, it kind of looked like you were "closed off." If you open up slightly, the ball will project right a little, and it'll naturally roll up. You had a few that were that way. Maybe do some zero and/or one step drills? I wouldn't really worry too much about coming around the ball too much, because it is VERY difficult to change from coming around to going more up the back. Ask me how I know......Even the great WRW comes around it now. He was so up the back 10, even 20 years ago, and over the years, as we get older, we naturally start coming around the ball more and more. Again, ask me how I know......LOL. In all seriousness, I would start with little things, like the breast plate thing, don't try to work on too many things at once. Doing so will make things worse. One, maybe two things at a time. Decide if the ball is right for the conditions. Decide how you want to play the lanes. Do you want to go up the boards? Do you want to cross boards? That will help you as far as what equipment you use, how you play the lane, and ultimately, how your release affects the ball motion you see on the lane.

For 2 days I just focused on being comfortable coming out of the ball. As with this day, I start finding my hand position in the glove and match it with the brace. With that position I am sliding on 22/23 taking my benchmark balls over 9-11. I used 3 more of my favorites today and all require me opening up more. For the last 20 frames of the day, I went back to adjusting my brace to come up the back of the ball and it was comfortable. I think it was a mental thing of being uncomfortable coming out of the ball.
We bowl sunday morning and I plan to start out coming up the back again and going down the boards. But now, I do have settings and lines to change to. We'll see. Taking Saturday off of ball maintenance

More knee bend, stay behind the ball

I watched the whole video. Ball is just wrong for the line you’re playing at this particular time, making you uncomfortable, ruining your timing. The only good ball reaction is when you accidentally throw ball outside. But when you try putting ball outside you get under reaction because you’re uncomfortable out there. Practice throwing outside and get comfortable with the gutter or use different ball.

I was actually playing the zone that was benchmark for that ball. But, you're hitting exactly what I'm feeling - uncomfortable. I have not felt in the zone for a few weeks where I'm just releasing the ball without thinking. Now, hand position and exact mark are flooding my mind.
