I've heard people saying that this is the game they've been waiting for (to which I wholeheartedly agree) and I think it's really evident that this is the game these devs have been waiting for and decided to make themselves. You can tell they're fans of the games that they're somewhat aping from with the bevy of systems it has to offer, but they're not shoehorning them in because they think it would maximize profit by being the EVERY game like a lot of other devs try to force their games to be. Here it feels as if these devs naturally ended up making the proverbial EVERY game by just incorporating mechanics they like from other games to make their own dream game. There's real care and passion in this, not anything that feels like a cheap cash-grab knock off of other games.
I'm with you on this, Gathalion. I haven't been able to stop playing since I got into this beta day one. It's amazing. I wish I had some friends to play with but the regional chat is nice for getting help when I need it. I have a few complaints, but overall I am extremely impressed with the way the game plays and all of the systems it has.
I'm excited because your excited. I love loot shooter games and also survival games. It's like they are taking my 2 favorite genres and mashing them together. Awesome!

Got lucky and got a code and I really enjoy it...There is a lot to do, to keep you busy and engaged. What I really like, is that they have a solid base already. Sure, it is Beta and it needs some fixing and tweaking here and there BUT nothing, that can't be fixed and there is still time till release. This game looks great. I love the giant bosses that are like mutated inanimate objects. I’ve seen the boss fight with the cell tower and the way the different antennas dangle around is so cool. The gear looks amazing. Can’t wait to farm for top tier items. I’m getting division vibes for sure.

This has been my favorite game over the past month. I’ve even learned some M&K just to play it ( but I still suck at M&K). Can’t wait for full release and controller support so that I can play at my potential.
Love your video, I have just shy of 300+ hours (shame me, I know I need to go touch grass) in this beta alone. Love pretty much everything you mentioned minus a few things, commenting here in hopes the devs see it as well! 1. There are some things that completely prevent progression to an extent. Controllers is a great idea and I love it however... there needs to be more opportunities to get them OR the "base rewards" for bosses needs to drop some limited form of weapon/gear mods. Currently when you utilize the "Full Reward" (which costs a "Controller") you get anywhere from 4-7 mods or so of all rarities, some stardust, component(s), and energy links. If you don't have any controllers, you get a couple to a few thousand energy and some components that you can get in all of 2 minutes looting the open world. Sounds fine and dandy right? The problem with this system is when you first start playing you get loads of controllers. Cool, right?! Wrong. If you don't know any better, youre going to go and spend those controllers doing bosses over and over to collect more stardust that is essential for calibrating your gear. This means that roughly by the time you hit end game, you can still have a decent amount of controllers but then you REALLY actually start to focus on your build. Less controllers = less mods you can aquire. Less mods you can aquire the less resources you have to roll/reroll stats on mods you like. Sure you can go and do public events and what not for controllers but the trade off and time it takes is not balanced. Between the acid (ill get into this next) used to craft ammo for the public event to get the controller, the time it takes to craft, and the time it takes to do the event itself far outweighs the benefit of getting ONE, single user controller in which you might not even get ANYTHING of value. With that being said, there are some other ways to get controllers, my main way of getting controllers is by my Warband owning Frontiers and attacking/defending said Frontiers in Wars. Outside of that you can get 20 controllers PER SEASON (Every 6 weeks) from the Scientist Vendor, or you can buy 3 controllers every Monday from the Warband Shop every monday... Sounds good right? Again, wrong. Sorry... realistically if youre hard focusing on making your build work, you can go through 20-30 controllers a day and get maybe half your mods set up... the upkeep isnt balanced with the output. When you run dry on all controllers you essentially stuck at 3 controllers a week or grinding out a few hours of public events for a measly MAYBE 10 controllers or so that go bye bye in the blink of an eye. 2. As for Acid... this is where I can see a lot of people quit playing the game if it isnt changed. The progression system is great all the way from copper to steel. Once you hit aluminum there is a HUGE grinding wall of acid. Practically everything that needs to be smelted from that point forward requires acid. Currently there is NO way to get acid besides signing yourself up for PvP and risk losing your hard earned, multi-hour acquired gear doing workshop defense which only gives you anywhere from 20-50 acid per run (in which you ALSO have to fight waves of PvE) or be apart of a Warband thats pvp driven and is acquiring territories like no other in which you can use Stardust to buy acid... OR spend many many hours farming acid from mobs around the map (when I say hours I literally mean hours.... 1 hour of farming can maybe get your hive (4 people) through a silo (dungeon) or two before youre back at it again...) Lastly, the pvp is great. Some of the best ive experienced in a Beta. The main thing I can see needing to be adjusted are snipers. Currently there is no build that counters snipers as you can get hit for anywhere from 9000-17000 and no armor/food buffs/elixers can provide that much help or damage resistance to counter it (some people can even hit up to 20/23k) and the point shooting (Third person aiming) is insanely accurate even at distances. Most of our wars at this point in time is compiled of entire teams just running around 1 tapping everyone and its basically a battle of who can 1 tap the other time team quicker. Imo, forcing people to ADS to get an accurate shot off would be the best way to address this and probably the easiest. If you took the time to read all this I appreciate you, I know its a lot. I might make my own review in due time.
Definitely think you should make more YT videos. I used to watch you a bit back in my Destiny days and we need voices like yours in the gaming space imo.
I think my biggest complaint with the beta is them constantly opening new servers for every wave of access codes they drop, when a lot of players are dropping off throughout the beta; because it is just a beta after all. The server I started on "Stardust N" was completely dead with just a bunch of decaying bases the last few days I played. This won't be an issue on full release though
I think this game might be the biggest open world pvp experience in 2024 and beyond. I also cannot stop playing... its so damn good even through the bugs and clunky mechanics that need refinement its a stellar unique experience thats so similar to other games yet so different at the same time.
I've been playing this game non-stop since I was able to snag a code on the 26th's uber drop in Discord. I adore it. I managed to get my husband in, with all the luck I'll ever have in my lifetime used up, and he's loving the game as much as I am. My only concerns are that when this game is released, it will be Free to Play. Because of that, I'm sure we will have a ton of griefers and cheaters. I don't want that to ruin the game. My other issue is with translations. A lot of spoken dialogue does not match the text. Nor does some of the text even make sense. Text boxes have a habit of flying past way too fast for a speedreader to comprehend. There are also a lot of untranslated text bits here and there. Other than what I wrote above, and some standard Beta™ bugs and gliches that crop up, this game is amazing!
I got a code around christmas and played it. I agree with the early game issues like the tutorial and because it was a beta there was no room in the starting area for my base so that was annoying but not the devs fault. I could def see me really getting into this, especially if I have friends to play with because that would def lead to some great shenanigans

This looks great! The only thing I don't like is the Cradle, a huge backpack sticking out over what would otherwise be your character customized as you'd like visually. It looks clunky to me and it is all I can sort of see. I wish the Cradle was an orb hanging off your belt, or, if still a backpack, a bit narrower and more streamlined. The game looks great though, and I can't wait for its release!
One thing this game doesn't have much of is traditional loot. You don't find weapons and gear out in the world except the occasional melee weapon. I don't mind crafting everything but I wish at least bosses had a chance to drop an occasional weapon or armor piece.

It'll be a bit different than the majority of rpg/mmo style games. I just hope people understand and like the system because the game is really fun and I wanna see it succeed. I'm also a little worried about the wipe feature as a primary focus. I think it'll turn a lot of people away if there isn't a way to keep what they've spent all their time on like building or leveling. Imagine taking a whole season to get the perfect mods and upgrade the perfect weapon to use it for a week then lose it. People really love showing off their achievements and the things their proud of.
I havent seen shoulder swap happen once in any video on YT I've seen so far... Is that really not a thing? What year is this?... 3rd person shooters should have shoulder swap whilst ADSing around corners etc... Jeese. Other than that this game is my vibe so far.
Been playing around 100-120 hours since December 11th. Been having a blast but am just now starting to feel that burn out. Kind of lost the want to continue to farm as it has been said they will wipe progression in the beta. I still enjoythe game and was thinking of starting fresh on a new server just to keep going lol. Try things different ways and see what I would like to do on launch.
yeah biggest barrier for me having fun in this game is the open world combat is so few and so lacking when you actually get it i find myself having huge periods of boredom before i get to the next cool bit.
Would gladly buy this one as a B2P game like V rising, its a great game already, it does lack endgame and has some minor issues but as long as they dont make it a p2wfest like lifeafter or undawn, its already a buy from me.
I missed out getting a code when the flood happened and my dl speed dropped to 24kb.... So I signed up for a code and then instead of using the system they put in to pass out codes, they randomly posted them in discord and I kinda feel jippped.
Just started playing loving it so far and this video helped with understanding some of what ill be doing in the future. My only problem is when i hover over something to see info the popup is off screen so i cant read anything so its hard to do stuff right now for me lol
God this looks like so much fun. Although I wish it was inherently more hardcore. IMO they're trying to cater too much to PVE players by having certain zones for PVP and raiding, and even in PVP zones you only lose one piece of kit. I'd rather the progression not be grindy and then have you lose all your stuff if you die. Being less grindy means it's not the end of the world if you lose all your kit, and it'd promote the idea of collecting a lot of gear from grinding and killing other players, which would give another reason for raiding (I think there's raiding?)
The power and wiring system in my opinion is unnecessarily tedious. For water I can understand but electricity is unnecessary tedious. I say keep it simple. Power supply and consumption are connected to a structure, the consumption device is always on unless the player turns it off.

I tried to love it, I love the genre, but because its trying to do so many things at once i think its just jank, and overly complex for the sake of adding complexity and increasing playtime. I hope this changes at release because i want to love this game but I can't atm.
The first beta tutorial was way better than this one. We will see how the 3rd beta works. The first beta got me hooked and still haven't found a beter game
Game is great, but you run out of things to do really quickly. Everything becomes repetitive after the first 20 levels. There should be more variety on what to do, it's still a beta so I'll wait for the full release, hopefully they will fix that, otherwise after a while you'll get bore pretty easy.
I also played Once Human but stopped. I find it boring a bit not killing real people out in the world. They don't have a Pvp server where you can just kill anyone at any time. For me that's a big one.
The game is dangerously set up to be pay to win. They have a literal gatcha machine in game, that currently uses cash shop real money currency - which they claim will be removed. Red flags all over this.
I was interested but their incompetence and mishandling of a closed beta giveaway has turned me off completely. It went from we will email you a code to no join our discord and spam react to messages to hopefully get a code. Then they throw out a code in an image so anyone running a couple scripts could eat them all up. And what do you know that happened. If you're that incompetent for a giveaway don't even want to see how you balance the game later. I'm out.
PvP worlds will be dead and just ran by groups sadly and pve will have majority of the whole game base of players cuz there ass at pvp like most games who do this I rather just have the game be open in general and have a safe zones simple cuz it’s basically just splitting the games numbers and I promise 80% of the game will just be players who are to scared to ever flag or do any player combat and the game will just be fully AI killing at the end of the day which is boring as hell because there’s literally zero risk… also just bot killing…which blows my fucking mind how people actually can play that for hours I feel a mix of both killing bots and beating an actual you know human player in the mix is goated also being able to take some of there gear as a reward is goated…game looks fire but from what I heard in this video is that I see the game going to be great but the casual market of players will make this game be boring imo just from past experiences of games that did the same route of this.

If you find a spot you like, remember that there are 6 world layers per server. So make sure to check all of them

Currently in the beta as well, my single biggest concern rn is the Wish Machine currency is the same as the cash shop uses for skins etc..

At launch blueprint fragments will also come from bosses/raids/dungeons/events. Also consider mods are complete rng and have their own intrinsic perks
@@KingGothalionYT This will be nice to feel like you're getting something out of them, but in the end it's still all pieces of stuff and nothing whole. It'll be a bit different than the majority of rpg/mmo style games. I just hope people understand and like the system because the game is really fun and I wanna see it succeed. I'm also a little worried about the wipe feature as a primary focus. I think it'll turn a lot of people away if there isn't a way to keep what they've spent all their time on like building or leveling. Imagine taking a whole season to get the perfect mods and upgrade the perfect weapon to use it for a week then lose it. People really love showing off their achievements and the things their proud of.
I'm just hoping there is official wipe and eternal servers so people aren't at the mercy of other hosts and/or forced to pay for their own servers.

I havent seen shoulder swap happen once in any video on YT I've seen so far... Is that really not a thing? What year is this?... 3rd person shooters should have shoulder swap whilst ADSing around corners etc... Jeese. Other than that this game is my vibe so far.

Been playing around 100-120 hours since December 11th. Been having a blast but am just now starting to feel that burn out. Kind of lost the want to continue to farm as it has been said they will wipe progression in the beta. I still enjoythe game and was thinking of starting fresh on a new server just to keep going lol. Try things different ways and see what I would like to do on launch.

yeah biggest barrier for me having fun in this game is the open world combat is so few and so lacking when you actually get it i find myself having huge periods of boredom before i get to the next cool bit.

Would gladly buy this one as a B2P game like V rising, its a great game already, it does lack endgame and has some minor issues but as long as they dont make it a p2wfest like lifeafter or undawn, its already a buy from me.
I missed out getting a code when the flood happened and my dl speed dropped to 24kb.... So I signed up for a code and then instead of using the system they put in to pass out codes, they randomly posted them in discord and I kinda feel jippped.
i read on another video, they are talking about 6 week (seasons/wipes) anybody else find anything like that anywhere?
They told me this in my interview but said it’s up for review based on feedback. And from what I see, feedback suggests folks want 12 weeks
Just started playing loving it so far and this video helped with understanding some of what ill be doing in the future. My only problem is when i hover over something to see info the popup is off screen so i cant read anything so its hard to do stuff right now for me lol

God this looks like so much fun. Although I wish it was inherently more hardcore. IMO they're trying to cater too much to PVE players by having certain zones for PVP and raiding, and even in PVP zones you only lose one piece of kit. I'd rather the progression not be grindy and then have you lose all your stuff if you die. Being less grindy means it's not the end of the world if you lose all your kit, and it'd promote the idea of collecting a lot of gear from grinding and killing other players, which would give another reason for raiding (I think there's raiding?)

The power and wiring system in my opinion is unnecessarily tedious. For water I can understand but electricity is unnecessary tedious.
I say keep it simple. Power supply and consumption are connected to a structure, the consumption device is always on unless the player turns it off.

You can have an suv with 4 people in it and 3 can shoot their guns. Also you can have a hive mobile base and put turrets on it

I tried to love it, I love the genre, but because its trying to do so many things at once i think its just jank, and overly complex for the sake of adding complexity and increasing playtime. I hope this changes at release because i want to love this game but I can't atm.

The first beta tutorial was way better than this one. We will see how the 3rd beta works. The first beta got me hooked and still haven't found a beter game

Game is great, but you run out of things to do really quickly. Everything becomes repetitive after the first 20 levels. There should be more variety on what to do, it's still a beta so I'll wait for the full release, hopefully they will fix that, otherwise after a while you'll get bore pretty easy.

They are releasing 200k more codes this week if you’ve applied there are pretty good odds you’ll get some playtime.
It's a great game, not looking forward to the beta ending. I'm not a fan of not being able to unlock all the memetics though.
I also played Once Human but stopped. I find it boring a bit not killing real people out in the world. They don't have a Pvp server where you can just kill anyone at any time. For me that's a big one.

The game is dangerously set up to be pay to win. They have a literal gatcha machine in game, that currently uses cash shop real money currency - which they claim will be removed. Red flags all over this.
Starcrom is not the cash shop currency. Confirmed by devs in my interview today. They insist 0 pay to win. Def be weary, but tone down the cynicism

I was interested but their incompetence and mishandling of a closed beta giveaway has turned me off completely.
It went from we will email you a code to no join our discord and spam react to messages to hopefully get a code. Then they throw out a code in an image so anyone running a couple scripts could eat them all up. And what do you know that happened.
If you're that incompetent for a giveaway don't even want to see how you balance the game later. I'm out.

PvP worlds will be dead and just ran by groups sadly and pve will have majority of the whole game base of players cuz there ass at pvp like most games who do this I rather just have the game be open in general and have a safe zones simple cuz it’s basically just splitting the games numbers and I promise 80% of the game will just be players who are to scared to ever flag or do any player combat and the game will just be fully AI killing at the end of the day which is boring as hell because there’s literally zero risk… also just bot killing…which blows my fucking mind how people actually can play that for hours I feel a mix of both killing bots and beating an actual you know human player in the mix is goated also being able to take some of there gear as a reward is goated…game looks fire but from what I heard in this video is that I see the game going to be great but the casual market of players will make this game be boring imo just from past experiences of games that did the same route of this.
