I'd do the exact same build as you guys except I would do a rear locker, an onboard compressor and some "real" underbody bash plates. I LOVE my 100 series (98 LX)...it can and has gone just about everywhere. It was stock with a LSD rear and no ATRAC. It climbed everything in CO even at 7800lbs. The rear locker I added has rarely been used, but is great on slippery surfaces where I can just climb up with controlled throttle vs scratching and rutting the track.

      Wheel spacers help to accelerate the wear on your wheel bearings and put additional stress on the wheel studs. Moving the wheels out with spacers increases the leverage exerted on everything.

    • @shitloveaduck
      @shitloveaduck 5 лет назад +1

      They look cool! Yup. Make the tires stick out past the fenders so they rub and remind you they are not stock. The rest has already been said, regarding stress and wear. Some think the wider stance is going to help, but if you work the vehicle to where an additional 1“ of width helps, then you are screwed already. Then the studs snap! Hahaha
      They look cool.

    There's no need for a Land Cruiser TRD Pro. It's a Land Cruiser, have all the best equipment included. TRD are equipment for normal Toyota cars. And Land Cruiser is a legendary name itself.

    • @shitloveaduck
      @shitloveaduck 5 лет назад +1

      Legendary name. Not a legendary off road in the 200 series. Toyota sold out to the luxury side of the big $$$ buyers and have let go of the total off-road vehicle. The additions here have made the Land Cruiser what it should have been in the first place. It is only keeping up with the TRD 4Runner and not outperforming it. I really liked the previous models but they messed up on the current one. It is still used off-road a lot elsewhere in the world, partly because it is the best offered there. In the USA and Canada, there are several very good to even better options. In fact, Toyota doesn’t sell the Land Cruiser in Canada. Too much competition and the price equates to almost $100,000 Canadian. There are many many much better options out there. Spend extremely on a 4Runner and you still won’t hit $75,000 cad and have the best possible off-road vehicle out there. The “TFL” Pro version here is really nice.

      Leave them alone Elroy. I never understood sponsorships/receiving products u till I helped a buddy start his own channel and realized how damn expensive it gets. It is necessary for a channel like this to receive products if they actually want to push out content. It may not be "pure," but hell is it entertaining and the best compromise we can get.
      I'll say that all of TFL's channels are quite superb in my opinion and that their 4Runner test (the Canadian version) was by far the most underrated video on the internet.

    Curious what a slightly lifted Sequoia with good tires would do. It has four wheel independent suspension. A 2WD, AWD, 4WD and 4LO transfer case. Its barely bigger than the Landcruiser. If you have an 08 to current version it accepts most of the current Tundra TRD parts like the skid plate, wheels, intake, shifter, etc. If you TRD'd the platinum model you get adjustable rear air bags and adjustable shocks.

There isn't a differential in the transfer case therefore no center diff which means no center locker. Only full time 4WD and all wheel drive systems have a center diff and therefore need a center locker in order be a capable off road as a part time 4x4 system like the 4runner has.

    Tommy, learn how to use A-Trac. You don't need to use the crawl control for the car to figure out where it's losing traction, A-Trac will do that without having to resort to speed control. It's so good that I rarely even activate the rear locker, because the locker will fight the terrain when you're turning.

    A new Land Cruiser is $76K while an Escalade is $64K on cars dot com. While a 2009 with less than150,000 miles the LC is $26K and a Escalade is $17K. A new LX570 3-row is $92K while a 2009 is $27K.
    So the LC drops $50K and the Escalade only drops $48K. Toyota LC is not luxurious and should not have that depreciation compared to another luxury marque.the LX is more like a luxury vehicle in it’s high depreciation of $65 in the last decade.
