Thank you so much for the video! I'm a new cadet (A.C) and I get my uniform in a couple weeks. I was completely confused on how to take care of/ wear a uniform , so thank you!
RCAC could stand for Royal Canadian Air Cadet but also Royal Canadian Army Cadet. The RCAF doesn’t only stand for the Air Force either. It could also stand for the Royal Canadian Armed Forces.
I love those parade boots. Is there a place you can order them. I bought a pair in an Army-Navy store for $80 and another in a thrift store for $10. I have a video here-difference between Canadian parade boots and Ammo boots. I'm in Boston. E/bay has only small sizes.
I was in the ATC in the UK from 1970-79 as cadet and if you want an exercise in pressing your uniform you want to try doing it on the old hairy blue battle dress tunic & trousers
I'm sgt.Yashwardhanshah i have passed my ncc type c certificate with A grade now I'm able to join Airforce. BTW Good thats very important to get a good uniform
In Australia we call the "flaps" on the shoulder the Epaulette. I don't know if you guys call it the same thing but just a helpful tip. Your uniforms look nice though mate
A couple of points: 1) The pants are not creased all the way to the top, they are only creased to the top of the *leg*. 2) you don't have enough tilt on the wedge - it's only 2.5 cms over your right eyebrow which is also about 2.5 cms above your right ear. THREE fingers is over 5 cms!
Thanks! That was a great video! One suggestion, could you possibly show how to sew on your badges and shoulder badges? Thanks! AC Rickards 50 LT. COL. BARKER VC
Im a boy who is looking to join the air cadets. But i have had decently long hair all my life (yes even as a baby) and dont want to get it cut as short as was in this video. Do you think my sqaudron leader would make an exeption if i got it cut just a wee bit
I know this is largely irrelevant to the video, but do you get shouted at a lot in the cadets? Teachers consider me to be well behaved in school, but I don't want to get shouted at if I accidentally make a mistake...thanks for any help.
+xTwilightWolvesx Not really, especially if you are a first year cadet. This program reflects the military in ways of organization, structure and discipline, but as it is meant towards people aged 12-18, there wont be any kind of harsh reprisal for mistaken actions. Hope that clears it up.
+xTwilightWolvesx it mostly depends on the person in charge tbh... -_-; most of the sergeants and corporals in my squadron are alright, but there is also someone really strict and interrogates us a lot. :/ Oh well, I doubt it will be as bad where you are.
+sohail sayed good for you! ^^; unluckily, it's like a death wish if you forget something. But afterwards they'll pay you no mind, and won't remind you of the event.
3 years air cadets and 10 years in the army and I have never seen anyone tie their laces like that. once you are done lacing them up, you put a small bow on top and not a knot that if it tightens you have to dig at it to undo it. you put it in a bow and tuck it inside the top of the boots.
so canadian people have no brassard no berret and no jumpers and in england we dont have the name tag and our DofE badge is sown on (as string to the top our jumpers)
Im currently a recruit in the nzcf and I do think that it is a great way to discipline yourself and to learn good life lessons. But it is a massive commitment though.oh and the staff are really supportive and very kind so yeah give it a shot
Like your choice of music but did you really have to use the battlefield 3 theme I mean that specific variation sounds like farts and radio noise next time use the battlefield 1942 theme

And hours sewing, doing your hair, ironing, polishing that you might need to earn money?

I being a former RCAC, you guys did a great job explaining.
Does RCAC mean Royal Canadian Air Cadet?
oh yeah yeah
agreed
RCAC could stand for Royal Canadian Air Cadet but also Royal Canadian Army Cadet. The RCAF doesn’t only stand for the Air Force either. It could also stand for the Royal Canadian Armed Forces.

I just got my uniform and this video really helped to show me how to ware it correctly.
This is great since I have a parade next week thank you.
As a struggling L.A.C with my uniform, I deeply appreciate these tips! I'll definitely try them once the year starts over 😉😄
how did you get lac in the first place if you're struggling with your uniform ?

And also they dont have any other sizes

You don't have to be able to play an instrument to join the cadets do you?
No you don't need to know as they'll teach you how if you join the band.
