+akkito1911 We need 3 things for that: 1) Creativity (=D) 2) Money (>=D) 3) Company that doesn't budge when people moan it isn't finished and they want to play it. [Star Citizen which could fall apart if CR falls through....)
yeah, but then you'd have to use the callsign 'CASH' and everyone would just call you 'cliché' remember one guy who wanted to go by 'bones' on our shooting team, he got the callsign 'tryhard'
I don't know why but I love the attention to detail at 18:39 . When the countdown hit 0 seconds Hack and Earl both expected a boom and looked up at the camera when nothing happened. I friggin love it
Advanced 001 this game must have had a massive budget... they even got the mercenary to skydive ....plus it's not like RUclips existed at the time to just look up a bunch of clips easily
I loved this game on the PS1. I would constantly play the DMZ mission. Absolutely amazing mission. I used to love the FMV sequences and all the graphics used. They maybe cheesy now but whoever made them definitely put a lot of effort in to it.
DMZ Strike was arguably my favorite as it felt like a we were stopping WWIII. As for others, Peace Strike part one was mainly me replaying it so that I loved destroying all Pyongyang buildings with the PACKISBACK code, including their MayDay stadium that I managed to destroy before part two. To me it was funny how the walls of the stadium were back intact after the nuclear blast! Jungle Strike was fun in that I went ahead to clear the map of all existing enemies with the Apache before taking down the smoke stacks rather than rely on the slower & less fun Huey. I was disappointed with Fortress Strike as the ending though. Shiva’s Dagger seemed easy once you get past the 1st 5 tasks, though one time I shot down Andrea’s Hokum for giggles & her “brilliant shooting” still happened.
God I love this game and it's FMVs/cutscenes. I think you missed one though, in the South China Sea mission where Hwoung is extracted by chopper and he blows up by suicide bomb or something before he gets onboard. Nuclear Strike is a game with the best cutscenes, alongside Red Alert 2 series and Red Alert Retaliation in my opinion. Great video!
They're missing ones entirely for several vehicles, such as the Hokum in the final battle. We'll never know if that gunship was stronger than the Havoc, which was actually superior to the Super Apache. Of course, each VTOL jet was superior to all choppers though, but had no winch to rescue people.
Ah, Future Strike, the sequel that never came to be! It DID, however, become one of my favourite PS1 games of all time, though! Future Cop LAPD! The mech in that scene even appears in Future Cop LAPD! "Those old LAPD units" in Hell's Gate Prison!
Wait you're saying the protag mech of FS became an NPC unit?! I never got to play FC:LAPD so its interesting to me to know about it even if only alil bit...
"Anyone who tells you that the threat of the thermonuclear war is over is a fool, a enemy... or both." (General Earle) Couldn't be more accurate (and more funny)! Were is all the brillantism in the modern games compared to this masterpiece?
I absolutely loved this game. In an age where resident evil showed us that live action in videogames was an eye watering cardboardness.. this proved it all wrong when done right I wonder if any of these lent more of there talent to any other videogames
Very nice! Brought back a lot of good memories of playing endless hours of Nuclear Strike on Win 98. 90s and early 2000s were great times. Please make another video compilation of armor, assets, threats too. Would be awesome to watch.
29:30 sadly Future Strike never came out but it actually evolved in to another cool game project called Future Cop! You can see some of the similarities of the helicopter robot and robot from future cop.
+Freerk Bethlehem From what I remember reading at the time, the actual company behind Nuclear Strike couldn't make Future because of a reshuffle/changed studio. They disbanded that company....At least....That's what I got told. FCLAPD was NOT made by the same guys....
When they teased Future Strike back in the day, I was pump to get it. But then once I found out it got scrapped and became that LAPD mech game, I was SO pissed. >8I
The entire Strike series deserves a remaster/remake
Better than any Hollywood film.
how EA has fallen
I wish more games like this would come out.

Fair point. Seems to me games like this were kinda rare gems.
"With cash... you get what you pay for"
That would be a pretty badass slogan to have on your mercenary business card.

Legendary Game + Legendary Cutscenes + Story that keeps your heart racing = Amazing =D
One of the best games I've ever played and it's largely because of these cutscenes, though it was fun to play, too.

When EA cared and MTV played music... And Cribs.

@@SantomPhDo you know what Cash said immediately after Hwong decided to blast himself into oblivion?
Susan Turner-Cray was my first video game crush.
I shot her down during the end of Fortress Strike & she still survived to do the newscast. Badass!
Awesome in its own time, and up until now I really like this style of cutscenes,
Fun Fact: there were cheat codes hidden in the cutscenes
Thank you for uploading.
for some reason I want all the vehicle /enemy FMVs to be uploaded too
I know right? a lot of those were entertaining, but I can't seem to find them. Not even the new Longplay has them.

5 years late but the channel detective masterclass have them for both Soviet and Nuclear Strike

i like how it says the M-41 was a heavy tank, when it wasn't, oh god it wasn't.
Ah memories.....

Been playing the Strike Series since Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf. I was waiting on Future Strike...
I need a 360 degree VR seat like the black dude sitting
they should make this into a movie
The last level was mind blowing at the time, controlling the tanks a helicopters etc.
Loved that game
Future Strike never came.

On which console

If Strike Warrior Had Mass Produced And Hid It Somewhere In A Underground Hangar In Los Angeles California...
We Would Have Turned The Tide.

God bless You
melhor game da minha epoca gosto muito
This guy's Voice is exactly the same Voice of the interrogated guy from the game Black
The General's shoulder pad is wrong. The star and the stripe should be smaller. His shoulder pad is indicative of a Navy Ensign.
It's not supposed to be accurate. If it was then it would be illegal.
Anyone know if that General in 5:49 is speaking a real language or plain old gibberish to imply "Indochinese"?
Classic
