Great comparison ...just what I needed !! Hey Kathy what brand are the two little green camera cases your using ??? I need somethi ng and they look perfect !!
@deweykri, glad I could help. The little green camera cases are from LensCoat. lenscoat.com/. I have them on all my camera bodies. They are called Body Bags! Order for all your cameras.
Great video Kathy and insights. Trying to decide between the derby and the international atm. The extra wheels seem cumbersome but they appear to win the roller experience. The international is a bit more "stiff" whereas the derby seems more flexible, which I prefer. Also interested in the (green-ish looking) pouches that you use ... where are they sourced? I'm in Australia.
@kathysportfilmphoto thanks for the comment. The green pouches are from LensCoat (lenscoat.com/) They are called Lens Pouches. Love the. The International is big. I've touched it a few times during my trips. It's bigger than the Roller Derby so be aware that it can be heavier. I love the Airport Advantage because it's lighter. The Roller Derby is my second choice. Let me know what you finally decide!
@@KathyAdamsClark thanks for the reply. Went with the International. Good for storage. Not sure how much it will get used on the road because I have the Advantage too and smaller bags are great as I get older. The Canon RF lenses are chunky and mobility takes bit of thinking & planning. Will see how it goes. The lens pouches look fab, thanks for the info. Not sure if I need them but they look great and protection is super important.
I have the Airport Advantage bag, and I use it on trips when I will be traveling on the smaller commuter jets. This bag fits into the overhead of even the earlier model small jets or turbo props. If I run out of room to fit all the smaller things like batteries, I carry a photographer’s vest that I can put those things into for the flight, and it’s not counted as one of my “carry-ons”.
The larger bag, the Roller Derby, easily fits in the overheads on a plane. The Airport Advantage is a bit smaller and is super easy to fit in the overheads. Both bags look like basic ordinary corporate carry-ons so they don't attract attention. Love them!
Hi Kathy thank you for this super vdo on the 2 amazing airportroller bags wanted to know what brand is your camera body sleevewith the belt as it looks super safe to carry. I am from India and travelling to Africa in Feb would love to hear from you. Thank you
@frednorman1 thanks for the comment. Both have an outside pocket for a 15" laptop. I'd never travel that way, though. Once the bag is loaded, add the laptop in the laptop pouch, and. . . The laptop is pressed pretty tight against the contents of the bag. It looks to me that the laptop is going to get broken. I've never tried it but it doesn't look right to me. I put my laptop in the small backpack on my back when I travel. So the answer is "yes" there is an outside pocket.

My experience exactly, Susan. Thanks for the comment. The Airport Advantage is a really nice bag! Thanks!!
Roller Derby its perfection . I have Advantage XT, Airport Security v2 and the Roller Derby.. Derby wins with those wheels big time
Agree, @Samarianosans with the big wheels on the Roller Derby. It is a nice bag. I love the light weight of the Advantage, though. It's so sweet.
Does larger bag fit in over head on plane or does it need to be checkled in.

Plenty room in that big boy Roller Derby for wildlife lenses & pro bodies.
Agree! The Roller Derby is a great bag. Handles two cameras, two or three lenses, plus a big telephoto. Very nice bag. Thanks for the comment!
