I literally just got done rewatching the fight. I’ll be honest I’m a little ashamed because on fight night I had bud winning 7-5. After rewatching and being able to analyze bud won that fight easy 9-3. And the 3 rounds I gave Madrimov was more of a pity. He did really well so I edged him. Look for the fight on RUclips it’s clear and somebody tell me 4 rounds or more that Madrimov won

It is my opinion that he is a good person and a excellent champion fighter in the sport of boxing. He is currently on my Mount Rushmore of Boxing along with: Ali, Leonard and Hagler.

1 of the best Bud interviews! Thank you Shawn Porter for asking the million dollar question: Why didn’t Bud switch to Orthodox stance? And Bud gave the best response: Most of the rights Madrimov was landing on the gloves but the commentators hyped it up like it landed clean. Also, Bud hurt Madrimov few times in the fight and while Madrimov did land some rights, it didn’t hurt Bud at all. The commentators wanted another upset so bad that they were hyping up everything for Madrimov and downplaying Buds combination and punches to the body.
I’m glad that Bud admitted if only he turned it up, specially in the last round, he could have got Madrimov out of there.

Been going back and forth with a bunch of "Man Fans" on forums, in person, etc..... about Crawford/Madrimov fight not being as close as those bias commentators were claiming. Yes, Madrimov had some moments, but Crawford was never in danger. Madrimov never THREW a combination until the 7th round. I can't remember when he finally landed more than one punch at a time.
I even noticed when Porter got frustrated trying to explain to them what was actually happening in the ring, but they kept pushing their "fanboy cheers" for Madrimov's feints and how that somehow was out performing Crawford's 3 punch counters.

OK… I understand more clearly now. Bud wants one mega fight with Canelo (and perhaps a rematch) for easily his biggest pay day ever. Rather than fight a series of fights at 154 to become undisputed. One fight with Canelo that pays more than all the undisputed lead up fights together. Less tole on his body before he goes out too. Sounds like a sound plan to me. Good interview too guys. I agree 💯 with Crawford. He definitely won that fight. He never looked in trouble with any of Madrimovs best shots. Stay cool, calm, collective the whole fight. The only thing I'll give Madrimov is his volume of punches and finding different angles which helped him win rounds but besides that Crawford was in control the whole time. He's right about him being more active because when he did decide to let em go you could on Madrimov that he felt that s**t 😂
