“Thanks to her father, they had to leave.” Because they found out he was gay. Let’s not make it sound like her papa was a bad guy. Because he wasn’t. Judy always had wonderful things to say about her father.. can’t say the same about her mother. The woman who destroyed her from day 1. 🤷🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️

You are right. Her mother was something else. Started medicating her and basically exploited her. And didn’t her mom ultimately fall out in a parking lot towards the end of her life? When her father died, Judy’s world shattered.

The carriage seen in the museum, and which was used in the movie, had actually belonged to Abe Lincoln.

Very good vlog however I too have to agree that you needed to slow the camera down so we could read the placards. I'm sure you've learned to do that by now. Once again though I enjoyed seeing the inside of Judy's childhood home.

Yeah man, slow it down! too much blur, you'll make people seasick!...lol.. Stop and look at the pictures and show the information. Hope you've got that figured out by now ;-)

That is definitely not the original dress. You can tell my the sleeves, and the color. Judy had a very very short collar with blue little things around it, and the sleeves are actually pointy, and that is not Gemen printed or whatever it’s called.

Gingham. A lightweight plain-woven cotton cloth typically checked in white and a bold color...

I just saw the original dress in a meuseum in ireland. Bought by a private investor for his own personal home museum and allowed to be viewed at the irish meuseum for 2 months before being put in his private collection. So sad the world wont be able to see it again for at least many years to come, if ever.

“Grew Up in as a baby”? And you should have focused in or read what the placards throughout the house said. It was to blurry to pause and read them. The viewer has no idea what any of those things were in the house!
Just a little positive criticism for next time!

what's the deal with the taxidermy? did Frank and Ethel collect them or something? or is it not actually connected to the Gumms - just a random display of dead animals?

Judy was born in a small town outside Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The town was called Gum, Tennessee. That is also her real last name.
