Good information for the students. I have read the novel twise. And also seen the moovie . I think the concept of samskara can be visualised in a different perspective. One is the rituals as you have pointed out and another is the culture and behaviour of the people. In this context the samskara of Praneshachary is on one plane.And that of others is on the another plane. Infact Narayanapp is a rebel not against Bramhanism but against the hypocracy of the so called branhimns . In comparison with others Chandri is more honest. Thus Praneshachary chandri and Narayanapp are more Cultured .
