Arigato gozaimasu! I've been watching all the videos, some of them I'm repeating it and it helped a lot. Please, keep posting it! :D It's been easier to learn some japanese this way.
Great spotting! In Japanese, when the 'g' sound is at the beginning of a word, it has a hard sound, like the [g] in "garden." For example, 'gakusei' (meaning 'student'). However, when the 'g' sound is in the middle or at the end of a word, it often takes on a nasal sound, like the [ng] in "thing." For example, 'eiga' (meaning 'movie') or 'kakigoori'!
Wow, that's amazing you are learning Japanese with your 10 month old son! It's never too early to start learning languages, so well done! I'm so pleased to hear that you love my videos😊

is there a reason kakigoori very much sounds like a 'n' sound: kakinoori?
