    Oh my word!!!!! You scored big time for sure!!!! I love thrifting, not so good at sewing but I want to improve my skills!!!! I don’t like to wear something that looks homemade. I must learn how to adjust patterns to fit my body and I hope you can help in that area. I watch too many videos where people spend so much time cutting and sewing a pattern only to see that the fit is horrible!. You certainly have a beautiful skill as you obviously know how to fit a pattern.

    Great fabric haul. The floral sheets would make really pretty dresses. You could use your scraps to make a quilt or a quilted jacket.

      What a great idea! I have just started dipping my toe into the world of quilting and have been cutting up all of my scraps into 3" x 3" squares (the exact width of my ruler!) to potentially create something new with!

    I'd love to see what you make out of your fabrics. I'm a slow stitcher bu t when I was young I sewed my clothes. I had fun doing it in the 60's and 70's.

    Best fabric thrift buy I got was a cotton Vera Wang sheet. The quality was amazing. The other was a king duvet cover for $4.00. So much fabric.

    I love that you love yellow. I just wore a yellow summery top and was getting compliments on it. People seem to be afraid of wearing yellow but it is such a cheerful color imo.

It’s a pretty dusty pink too and it cost only £3.00 pounds too. So I’m so pleased with it. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up.     Oh my. I feel old. I knew what that piece of luggage was right away when I saw it. I am pretty sure our family had some of those when I was growing up. Wonderful finds on your fabric hunt, BTW. As a quilter, I'm always on the hunt for great pieces at the thrift store! Would love to see a video out of what you make. But even one at a time and then finally when you finish them - a maybe sort of a fashion show. Hate to wait til you finish everything. That would be cruel! LOL

    I live in Georgia too. About 30 miles south of Atlanta. 🤗 Love your fabrics! I don't have as much luck when I go to thrift stores finding anything.

      Oh wow, small world! I am about 30 miles in the opposite direction 😅 Yes, thrifting can be such a gamble! The thrift shops closest to me aren't the best for fabrics (though they do have really good dishes/ home decor) so I often have to travel closer to the city to find the treasures.

    The floral and blue tone shower curtain would be great as really wide leg palazzo pants. Add a button up shirt tied at the waist with a tank underneath. 12/14/2022.

    The first item a pair of pillow cases could be 1) used to store other finished Items like place mats 2) turned into large tote bags. YES YES YES Show us what you made of your thrifted fabric!

    Never thought to go to a thrift store for fabric but this is such a good idea. What is the name of the thrift stores you shopped? I don’t see much where I live.

      Honestly, there are only Goodwill's around me, so those are the primary shops I pop in to every now and again. Sometimes there isn't much and then other times I get really lucky!

      Sometimes that is all I come across as well and it can be really frustrating I have to really dig for some gems or hit up more than one store. But during certain times of the year, I seem to get really lucky and find nothing but beautiful cotton sheeting! It's all a game of chance I feel.

    I love the travel/cosmetic cases. I have a bunch of them. Some were mine, my mother’s, mother in law’s, or some I purchased because I liked the look. One I got when a co-worker brought me a bunch of sewing notions that were her mom’s. They were in the case and she didn’t want the case. I use them to store all types of things in.

      I love that! I actually purchased the case because that is what I had originally intended to use it for -- as a traveling sewing case!
