    There's a 4th point - surface agitation. I inject bps in a 60cm tank because I have cooling fans blasting the water surface, and that creates a lot of surface agitation that is off-gassing co2.

      Official WASABI Moderator: Thanks Dmitry. Please place the CO2 diffuser on the opposite side of your filter outlet. If it's a spin-type filter outlet, please put it on the same side. Also, please check NORI aqua channel for my exclusive interview.

    • @NORIaquaCh
      @NORIaquaCh 3 года назад

      Official WASABI Moderator: Hi cristian, depending on how much water is actually in your tank. Keep in mind that hardscape, aqua soil and plants take up a lot of real estate, so you will need to take that into account, try 1 to 2 bubbles per second and use a CO2 drop checker to see if you have sufficient dissolved CO2. Hope this helps!

    Hi great video, how many bubbles for 20 litre planted tank

    • @NORIaquaCh
      @NORIaquaCh 3 года назад

      Official WASABI Moderator: Depends on your actual water in the tank, consider the water displacement with your plants, soil and hardscape. Maybe 10 to 15L of actual water, in this case, 1 bubble for 3 seconds would do. Please get a CO2 Indicator for your tank to see if that is sufficient. Also, please check NORI aqua channel for my exclusive interview.

    When should I add ADA Bottom Plus to ADA AquaSoil vol1? My tank is heavily planted with red stemmed plants and root feeding plants like crypts. Now it 3.5 month old and plants still look fine.

    Hi i have 90cm tank. And i saw on google it stated for every 100l of water we use 10bbps. My tank is 180l so do i use 18bubble per sec? Or i stick with maybr 4bubble per sec

    • @NORIaquaCh
      @NORIaquaCh 3 года назад +2

      Official WASABI Moderator: 10 bubbles per second? That's crazy. 2 to 3 bubbles per second is ideal for 60 to 90cm tank. Make sure CO2 is turned on 3 hours prior to lights turning off and 3 hours prior to lights turning off. This helps ensure ~30ppm of CO2 dissolved for photosynthesis. Having a CO2 Drop Checker also helps you take the guess work out, I recommend you get one. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

    When to start and turn off co2??
    Plz help... I start CO2 for 4 hrs with lights for 8 hrs

    • @NORIaquaCh
      @NORIaquaCh 3 года назад +5

      Official WASABI Moderator: Hi Paul. The optimal time to have CO2 turned on is 3 hours prior to lights turning on. This allows the CO2 to reach 30ppm prior to the lights turning on and commence photosynthesis. 8 hours a day is perfectly fine, just make sure you dose the appropriate liquid fertilizers while the light is on. Hope this helps you! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

    I have 150x40x69cm 414 Liter tank. What is a good dosage of CO2 drops per minute?

    • @NORIaquaCh
      @NORIaquaCh 3 года назад

      Official WASABI Moderator: Dear Pieter, it depends on your hardscape and plant mass and actual water volume. If your substrate, plants and hardscape takes 1/2 of the aquarium. Try 3 to 4 bubbles first and adjust accordingly. Please get a CO2 indicator.

  • @lukefabay

    What do you think of Co2 drop checkers? Mine hovers around lime green towards the end of the day and I just lift my lily pipe outflow at night to increase surface movement.

    • @NORIaquaCh
      @NORIaquaCh 3 года назад

      Official WASABI Moderator: Hi John, CO2 drop checkers are only an indication and not entirely accurate. It's just a tool to help you to make educated guesses on whether you have enough CO2 or not. A must have when you're setting up CO2 on a new tank. I recommend adding an air stone, on a timer and turned on once the lights go out, and turn off when lights turn on. Thanks for watching! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

      plants breathe oxygen when it's dark, so you're more likely to suffocate fish to death by displacing the oxygen with more co2 at night
