Graham has kept and worn that jumper for possibly longer than 7 years. I remember seeing it in Phailhaus and thinking it was cool. Can confirm it still is.
I have once or twice, but they were already lit for a while (and presumably hot) and then got water on them - it was a *bathroom* light...I wonder... (also, that 'light socket dangling down from cord' fixture looks kinda...unprofessional? Or did the socket fall OUT of the fixture above when the bulb exploded?)
So it seems that Melbourne pedestrian crossings make a pretty rad noise from what I hear in passing. Like, that sounds like the opening riff from a track from a Wipeout Game I’m totally misremembering. Good going, Australia!
Yeah, it beeps periodically while the light is red, then chirps and starts beeping rapidly while the light is green. It's an accessibility thing, but it's also just generally useful. You can also feel vibrations on the plate above the button, which have the same pattern, for the hard of hearing.
Phillip Bradbury as a canadian thats has repaired a Very old houses.... i dont think I seen those in a long LONG time(explode mostly most they just blow up and leave glass intact )
Are you talking about some older that predate the super common tungsten filament inside a glass vacuum, I still have several kicking around in rarely used spaces in the house and have never seen them do that. Generally the worst you see is the filament either split or break off an roll around inside the glass, from the several dozen to couple hundreds I have changed.
No, I was just trying to make a "that's just how things work here, how do they work where you come from" joke... possibly also an "everything in Australia is trying to kill you" joke.
I live in midwest United States. Farming country. Because of that Halloween is a BIG DEAL. Like as big a deal as our predominately christian population treats Christmas.
Seeing you eat in front of a KTM store had me wondering if you had suddenly cut the "al" out of "Australia". Yes, lame joke, but there are only so many things Austria is known for internationally besides Arnold, Mozart and Skiing.
For those that don't know, Australian lightbulbs are designed to randomly explode as a method of spider population control.
...hmmm
For those curious to watch the NG+ segment mentioned, it's over yonder: ruclips.net/video/nfAZdXteVyc/видео.html
the shot of the lady on stilts, walking into the setting sun was amazing!
The baby has declared it: throw all soul conduits in the garbage

I would've laughed so hard if Graham pulled a Breeding Pool out of the mystery container.
Stilt lady is amazing.
Graham's evil laugh at the restaurant sign was priceless, lol! Jeebus, that bit at the end, I'm glad everyone is safe!
"It was quite startling, let me tell you." just seems so wonderfully Canadian.
This might be the funniest in this series yet!
Also wow I've never had a lightbulb fail quite so catastrophically.

If you pulled a breeding pool I would've freaked out
Oh hey, I know Alice, she's involved in running Planeswalkers For Diversity here!
I kinda forgot they were at an airbnb and was surprised there was a breaker switch in their hotel room
Been loving these vlogs, makes me miss home so much.
I was a bit sad that he didn't pull a breeding pool
It took me a moment to realize this is a Magic card. Until then this sounded like slang for which I really did NOT want to know the origin.

Light exploding sets of the safety switch(the thing you turned back on) I'm glad we have safety switches so that the whole breaker doesn't blow up!
An experience like that with a light bulb made me switch to LEDs. Those at least go quietly.
Why does the Juggler sound almost like Andy's papers please character?
Yeah, I heard that too. Maybe a long lost cousin?
Maybe its Andy’s Australian equivalent
Oh my God, the 420 bar. Graham pls.
Thanks for the 420 restaurant moment. ^_^
Wait, Graham, are you saying your Canadian light bulbs don't use det cord as filament? Weird.
