Nice video! ;) I have been to KL in 1997 (OMG, I am getting old...) and went to a Santana Concert ;) also to Penang. But I agree, Malaysia is a bit underrated, but I have the feeling it´s changing, at least many people now go visit KL. Nice city!!
Yes, KL is an underrated city sandwiched between Bangkok and Singapore, two popular cities that eclipsed KL as a tourist destination. As you can see, KL is a fusion of numerous ethnicities and ancient and modern architecture. Chinatown is a favourite destination for foreign baggers, who damage the country's reputation. The majority of Petaling Street's vendors are Bangladeshis who market fraudulent items. You must be able to haggle whenever you purchase something there. In order to avoid the heat in Malaysia's humid climate, the majority of Malaysians prefer to shop in malls. I hope you liked your time in KL this time around.
Wow! Thanks again Gabi! It's been many years since I've been to K.L. but it seems for decades it's always offered many surprises for the first time visitor. Loved the aerial views, and I would have enjoyed much more.
Thanks, Gabi: KL is awesome! I'm in a suburb called Cyberjaya, kind of halfway between the city center and the airport. I've spent months here. The city is a wonderful place just to walk and enjoy all the different areas. It's definitely one of the great cities of S.E. Asia, I think. I prefer it over Bangkok. It's affordable, safe and the people are very nice. Glad you made it back and have enjoyed it. Thanks for a great video with excellent photography, as always. Stay healthy.
It's amazing how clean the city of Kuala Lumpur is. It's such a positive contrast to India. I'm hoping the Indian government will eliminate the corrupt local governments and enforce the cleaning and revitalization of their country.
KL is really nice and looked so face. Until someone that looked India just went chasing us and we entered a bar with so many Indians. The guy enter the room and while he was stopped the managsr.,an Indian looking waiter told us to just Run as fast as we can using another door. Then in my hostel, an Indian looking person pretends to be a tourist but just steals from the other guest. So KL which looks safer than Bangkok became a nightmare. Because of a few Indians. Still I want to see India and be in Punjab and Goa.
Was there in 2018. They were just starting Merdeka tower. Had been to Malaysia before way back in the 80s (Penang, Tioman) and now I would like to go back to other parts of Malaysia like the Borneo side. I agree that Malaysia is slightly underrated. Really enjoy your commentary and great drone work too. Oh yeah, there's a great view of the city from on top of the Menara Tower as well. Keep up the good work!
Please do comeback. It is much lively after covid pandemic. Just to inform you Menara literally mean Tower in malay language. So you should called it Menara KL or KL Tower
Good to see you again. I am shocked at how wealthy Malaysia is!!! They are doing so well. How it is that some countries are able to do so well for their citizens and others are not? I hope I can travel there.
