I was getting emotional with the Rebbe. I hear his struggling. He took on so much on our behalf. He still does. Baruch Hashem.

Hearing the Rebbe, of blessed memory, getting emotional, gives this teaching so much more depth of meaning.

Very moving speech and the rebbe obm was very moved and stirred in his spirit for the love of his children the children of Israel which Hashem had entrusted into his care and charge
I cry and shuttered to think the crushing levity of his yoke of heaven upon his shoulders the task beyond human understanding…

Please let us know what occasion this inspiring lecture was for so we may put it into context. It sounded pretty emotional, I haven't that in the few other Rebbe video's I have seen.
    Thank you

The Rebbe doesn't use a version there is one Torah with the same words it's in Hebrew, the verse is Deuteronomy 31:18.

The message here is a painful one that many people can unfortunately relate to. Whatever G-d's intention is in hiding Himself from man, it is hard for a person, with all his or her physical and mental frailties to keep on searching. Everyone knows someone who is struggling with employment, family problems, depression, substance abuse, etc. And these individuals search and search for G-d in earnest, sometimes for years, but without tangible results. They genuinely feel as if G-d has abandoned them. This situation is indicative of our exile as a whole, and nothing but the complete redemption will save us. But the redemption keeps being postponed and we're at a loss for why that is. The Rebbe's solution, that we must in the meantime have joy in our lives, is indeed the answer, and it requires effort on our part to be genuinely happy and to not let the vicissitudes of life get us down.

Indeed. As the father plays the hiding game. It comes a time the son just stops searching. Sad indeed but very very true. How sad we are still in exile. Perhaps very foolish on the fathers part. But life is what it is.

It is not foolish on the fathers part. Read Devarim 28

Does anyone know what version Rebbe uses? As a gentile believer I am at a loss to find the scripture of "I shall hide", so I can note his insight.

My thanks to you, and my apologies for being so sillyy.
As a Gentile convert to Messianic Judaism, I hadn't thought that far through.
I have considered learning Hebrew (and Greek) but am put off by tlack of time.
    Shalom, and thanks again.

Job tells us where God is and what He's doing. It also tells us what we can do with suffering in our lives...put it Gods hands and quit complaining. All creation is a beautiful and huge tapestry God is making for us..we only see part of His vast creation with our puny little telescopes and yet man thinks he knows where the universe came from (nowhere) among other rediculous claims being taught to our children. God is not here in todays society...and it isn't HIS fault.
