Not being over but Indians will definetely appreciate you coming to india. I have been and lived there for 8 months and people are really kind and friendly . They know that India is a tough country for me so they tried to help me at every point of my day. Whenever their would be a festival , they would invite me to enjoy with their family. As a traveller there you should always keep your mind at ease and try to handle things calmly. My indian friend told me that there is a saying in india that 'Guest should be treated as god' ,And I was shocked cause most of times people actually did that . I would definetely recommend going to india
