- This is a STUDENT WORK, that I did for a school project for video making. I own none of the rights to the clips seen or music heard. All rights go to Toho Co. Ltd. and Imagine Dragons for their song "Radioactive." I'm a huge fan of Godzilla and chose to honor both him and the upcoming film in my project, and what better song to go with the king than "Radioactive" of which I am also a fan. Again, I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS, This is a STUDENT WORK.

i'm not usually a fan of these "tribute" videos bc they just use clips willy-nilly, but not only is the song fitting in this, you used clips in some rly clever ways (i.e. "i feel it in my bones" while showing the Big Fella's skeleton). good job my dude

The original Godzilla (1954) did in fact die. He was killed using a weapon called the Oxygen Destroyer; it destroys all of the oxygen molecules in the water and molecules in living organisms, basically dissolving them. The second Godzilla died when he basically had, well, heart failure. Godzilla's heart works a lot like a nuclear reactor and that reactor got overloaded when there was an underground uranium explosion. His body couldn't cool the overload and his body ended up melting, releasing all of the radiation contained within his body. Other than those two, we never see any other Godzillas die. I excluded the GMK Godzilla because his heart is still beating at the end of his film.

Yep...it's the original Godzilla from 1954. We find out early on in the series that Godzilla is part of a species, but they reiterate it in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002.) They find the original Godzilla skeleton, then decide to use it as the infrastructure for Mechagodzilla or "Kiryu" as it is mostly referred to in the film. The software used for the new Mechagodzilla uses DNA computers so that the skeleton can be moved without using as much force from the mechanical pieces in the robot.

DAVID Hill I mean, he has died...twice. None of them are the same Godzilla. The series has been rebooted so many times, the first Godzilla died most assuredly. His skeletal remains were used to build Kiryu. The second Godzilla died from meltdown. It all depends on what timeline you're referring to.
